How far can the average KJ go?

Well, I was only a few miles away from the gas station. I filled the tank back up to full and it was about 18.5 gallons. I guess that means the empty light goes off when you only have about 2 gallons left...so you have some leeway to find the nearest gas station. Lucky for you guys...

How far can the average KJ go?

Just got back from the road trip... It wasn't that bad at all. I went 382.4 miles before the Empty light/tone went off...about 20MPG. I made it in one tank! This was through stop and go traffic every 15-20 minutes at 45-50 MPH, up and down curvy roads in the mountains and hills.

How far can the average KJ go?

Great! Looks like I'll have no problem then. Thanks for your inputs!

    Where in the fuse box?

No, I do not have an EVIC. Well, I'll figure out something. :-k So far it looks like splicing into a wire may be my best bet.

How far can the average KJ go?

Hey, Tony! I'm planning on going to Mt. Seorak this holiday weekend. It'll probably rain, but what the heck? We're going to a water park. You have any plans? I thought about the 5-gallon tank thing, too, but that'll be an 8-hour total drive with that gas smell inside the KJ...pretty...

How far can the average KJ go?

Okay, I live in a small country, commute in a crowded city (thus, I get the absolute worst gas mileage) so I have to ask... I'm planning on taking two 200-mile trips (to and from)...probably averaging 65MPH the on each trip. Can the average KJ make that trip in one full tank or is that risky...

    "The Sound of Liberty"

Nice video! Must have really hurt your eardrums, though. BTW, are you going to be taking pics while you install the underbody LED kit? I'm a little curious of how they are wired, etc.

    Where in the fuse box?

That sounds like a good idea...are these wires located within the A pillar or the door?

    "The Sound of Liberty"

So when are you putting up your LED thread?

    Where in the fuse box?

Both are great ideas I've considered... (thanks) With the mention about Sat Radios, Radar Detectors, and GPS/Navigator devices...perhaps those are more worthy devices for this type of hook up. This is simply a rearview mirror; nothing big. It barely takes any power and probably won't...

    Where in the fuse box?

A buddy sent me one of those auto dimming rear view mirrors with a compass and thermometer on it. I'm a little unfamiliar with the wiring part, though... I plan on running the wire from the mirror across the ceiling (tucked under, of course), down the A pillar to the fuse box. Where in the...

EVIC Confused? Now with EVEN MORE Video!

220 miles on a full tank? Looks like my average! (biggrin)

    Scorched KJ!

At first glance, I thought arson, too, but I cannot imagine a group of people would decide to start a fire in a parking lot of a secured military installation in broad daylight. I'm assuming this happened in daylight because of all the military installations I've been to, the parking lots are...

    Camping pictures

OMG, I'm so jealous. Nice pics! Looks like a lot of fun.

    Scorched KJ!

Maybe pressure built up causing the gas cans to spin around everywhere shooting flames?

    Scorched KJ!

Here are the rest of the pics from the scene... I can't tell where this one was parked exactly... Ah! There it is behind the KJ (referring to my question above)... I don't know, guys...I hate to say it, but to me it looks like a fellow (more like former) KJ...

    Scorched KJ!

It could have been the KJ owner that started it. (whistle) The fire originated behind the Caravan and in front of the Explorer...just right of the KJ's rear, right wheel (from what I observe). Either the Caravan owner left out the tanks or the KJ owner left it to the side right outside the...

    05 KJ Cig Lighter Plug

Ahh! #-o Forgot all about that diagram. I got that from you almost a year ago. I'm sure the wire colors are the same...but pin 2...got it! Thanks, bill!

    Scorched KJ!

My apologies, everyone. I should have put in more detail, but I don't have any, really. These pictures were sent to our unit safety committee for use with fire prevention posters (like "Only you can prevent forest fires" type of things); therefore, I don't know where these originated. My eyes...

    05 KJ Cig Lighter Plug

That's sort of what I had in mind. Either that or cowcatcher's suggestion for an additional plug. Can you tell me which color wire the ignition line is? I haven't opened up the HU area since last year...can't remember. Thanks.
