    California Car Duster?

I'm actually going to be getting a car bubble kind of thing for my porsche. It's pretty much a filtered and dry environment for your vehicle to live in while not in use. It does nothing for heat, but it sucks all the humidity out of the enclosure and keeps everything else out of it too. A bit...

    Summer detaling.

Well, when you repaint a car, of course it's gonna look good! :p Nice work, you should show that off over on the Megs site, Jeepster. FYI, I'm Justin A. over there.

    California Car Duster?

Doesn't scratch at all, not that I noticed anyway. Just keep it in the bag that it comes with and follow the cleaning instructions, and you'll be fine. The things are awesome, we had one a few years back. Another thing to try would be Meguiars Quik Detailer or Ultimate Quik Detailer, spray...

    Review: Meguiars Quik Detailer

This product has now been surpassed by Megs Ultimate Quik detailer, but this stuff is cheaper and still works like a champ. Mist it on clean paint, wipe it away with a microfiber towel and you'll have that just-washed look all over again. 5/5 stars. Awesome product.

    Review: Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer

Another great product from meguiars. Mist it on and wipe away. Safe on electronic equipment, glass, everything. I swear by this stuff. Hell, it even works around the house. Do you have a television? Yep, use this stuff on the LCD screen, around the housing, wherever. Computer? Same deal...

    Review: Meguiars G100 DA Polisher

Noisy. Very. Noisy. But, if you can get over the noise factor, get ready for the ultimate detailing machine (name already taken) for consumer or professional use. It's easy to use, gives astounding results quickly, and has a good length cord on it already. The inital cost is high, but if...

    Review: Mr. Clean Autodry System

I bought the Mr. Clean Autodry thinking it would save me time on my weekly washings, but it didn't. It just cost me money on my weekly washings, with the filters needing changing and the specific Mr. Clean soap that you have to use. That said, it makes a very nice and ergonomic hose tip for...

How about we put together a product guide?

Sounds like a plan. How about a seperate thread for each product, so it's easy to sort through using the search function?

How about we put together a product guide?

I'm thinking that an in-depth product guide might be a good thing for us to throw together. I'm already writing notes on all the products I use anyway, and wouldn't mind sharing them if other folks were willing to do the same. I don't know how willing the site management would be to build an...

    Zaino Recommendations?

So what the hell is this Zaino stuff and what is it supposed to do? Is it just a collection of polishes and whatnot? I always hear people referring to it like it's gold and everyone knows what it is and what it's for.

    Removing Orange Peel

It's kinda hard to see except in person, but the hood has VERY noticable orange peel on it, so when I do the hood I'll take pictures of before, during and after. Right now I've put the whole thing on hold until Wendsday, when all my compounds and my new buffer luxhello.gif get here. Woohoo!

    Removing Orange Peel

Update again I got my crappy orbital buffer out today after work (crappy- $25 at Autozone) and went after the square I started on and all I can say is WHAT an easy time! After buffing by hand for a good hour yesterday trying to get the sanding marks out, the 5 minutes of doing it by machine...

    Removing Orange Peel

Not at all...that's the reason I have so many detailing products laying around - it's so that I can buff the pinstriping out :D . Trust me, it's already got plenty. I didn't know that about the Deep Crystal polish, I thought it wasn't really doing much...I picked up some Fine Cut cleaner last...

    Removing Orange Peel

JimmyJeep is exactly right. It's also known as "FLA" (fat lady's ass), "OLA" (Old Lady Ass), etc. It's a side effect of using spray guns to apply paint. There are waves in the paint, and although your paint will still be smooth to the touch and clean and all, you still won't have perfect...

    Removing Orange Peel

Well, today I started the process of removing the orange peel from my JK...it's a bit nerve wracking at first for take sandpaper to a brand new vehicle's paint, but once the first cuts are made and there's no turning back, it's more of a "get your mind into it and do it right" process. I tested...

I've got a Liberty for the next 2 1/2 weeks

I agree, but I also have to say that I like the floating caddy better than the tipsy JK...to a point. Today I missed driving the JK (a little bit) because we passed a bunch of trails that may or may not have led to someplace interesting (I could care less about the journey when offroading- it's...

I've got a Liberty for the next 2 1/2 weeks

Excitement! My other half gave me the OK to trade my JK for one of the new '08 9-3's coming out later this year! To hell with my '04... Anyone wanna buy a SWB JK Rubicon? Sirius, Side airbags, netting...rubicon.
