Was thinking that the neutral test eliminated the drive shaft, but I'll check. The demarcation between not there and there is just defined though... :shrug:

500 mile re-torque is done. Had several that had loosened up just a bit. Also got the oil changed and get to drive it 8 hrs to UT for my kid's Regional gymnastics meet.
Still getting vibration at 75+ though not as bad. Is it just a Jeep thing? Vibration doesn't change when engine rpms...
Took it in to Discount Tire to check the balance... think I might have flung some sticky weights:blah:
Guy came back and said each tire was 1-1.5 oz off. Immediately took it on the highway but still getting a vibration 75+. There's a smaller vibration at 37/38 mph as well, so there's some...
Took it out for a 123 mile drive yesterday. Did Idaho Springs to Central City on Virginia Canyon Road (used to be Oh My God road, but it's been tamed waaaaay down). Unfortunately Central City/Blackhawk are gambling towns and my efforts to recoup some lift costs went horribly awry.

Geeze what a Murphy Ride. Fought me most of the way. JBA gave me the top sleeves for the bottom rear shock mount (1.825 vs 1.25"). Had the top sleeves in, but bottom sized instead of top. Hacksaw!
Used the cut off section as a washer for the top - no choice: old shocks were already...

Thinking that you could be losing out on the windshield defrost support too. Some of our snow storms are ridiculous when trying to keep the windshield clear

Yeah, even though we're precipitation-light here in CO, I can see where louvers would be advantageous. Looks like (2) 18x18" would do the trick for what I have in mind
