What are you listening to in your Libby right now?...

Either the local college station, "This American Life", or a bunch of random podcasts.

    Changing Brake Pads - Question

C-clamps work well and are pretty much the standard way to compress the piston. I think Jeep was nice in giving us well-placed slots so that a small pry-bar can do the trick before even loosening the caliper. IIRC, I think that's even how the FSM says to do it.

    Projector HID headlights on KJ

I doubt I'll ever have the chance to see you in oncoming traffic, so it won't bother me ;).

    Projector HID headlights on KJ

max, how is the stability of your mod? One annoying factor I've noticed in HID retrofits is the lights tend to bounce or shake, making for a nauseating drive.

    NP 231 transfer case

That sensor on the tcase is just a resistor that changes resistance with the change in shifter position. It's the same part for both the 231 and the 242. I'm guessing reprogramming is needed if 242 "full time" is used on an upgraded 231 Jeep (which I still want to do).

Did you try holding down the reset button while turning on the ignition?

    TPM on EVIC

Oh yeah. Check out the HOWTO forum. Some EVICs have homelink. Others don't. Some have TPMS. Others don't. Newer TPMS systems have two options, iirc. One just displays an instrument cluster idiot light if tire pressure is low. The other gives full display on the EVIC itself. I think it...

    TPM on EVIC

I think if your EVIC has that capability, it will display. What year Liberty do you have and did it come with the EVIC?

Anyone have a worn out leather steering wheel?

I still have a used one up for grabs ;)

    Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror?

I put one in mine but found it's not all that helpful with the tinted back glass. Tapping to the EVIC wiring is no problem at all since you're basically just powering one segment of a big calculator digit. ;) As for the reverse tap, I didn't bother with that. I couldn't think of a situation...

    Please Post Head Unit Pics!

For Android, Pandora will work with A2DP. Slacker hasn't implemented that yet.

    Please Post Head Unit Pics!

That's one of the best innovations I've seen so far. If they supported Android, I'd be all over it. Still, I can skip songs using the playback controls on my headunit now, when my android phone is connected by bluetooth and pandora is streaming.

    Windshield Washer Fluid Heater

Seems to me that, if the reservoir is frozen, this add-on wouldn't help much, being external to it. If the nozzles/line are frozen, what good is 150-degree fluid three feet behind a line full of ice? Am I missing the point?

Need anything from a steering column?

I bought a steering column assembly at a good price for radio controls and clockspring. Could anyone use any parts from the rest of the column? Here's what I have. Make an offer via pm for any or all. I'll be happy to ship or hold it if you're passing through the Atlanta area. Otherwise...

HOW TO: Turn on lightbar dash light

Speaking of relays, what you need is a double-pole, single-throw (DPST) relay. Since a relay is just a magnetically operated switch, one with two poles would have four "working" pins: two for the ground switch, and two for the positive switch. That way, when you flip your dashboard switch...

Please Help! 2002 KJ interior bulb question...

map lights are 194s and cargo iirc is a 196. For the map lights, you might need to get some that are rotated 90 degrees so they shine down. Also, keep in mind that they never go completely out if they're LEDs.

Anyone seen or used this HU?

According to this the headunit is a chinese-made deal by a company called "hasda." An alternate brand name listed there is OEM, so evidently OEM was the American company that distributed them.

    Please Post Head Unit Pics!

You had an older-style FAKRA connector. They're the same SMB underneath all the plastic and neither service uses the older style anymore, except maybe in OEM installations. It's a throwback to when XM units had two antenna inputs and two, color-coded cables coming from the antenna.
