1st let me say - Sorry all - I'm starting a NEW THREAD from on-going discussion/thread: Driveway Snow plowing..... Also I apologize up front, I'm still new to the Jeep Liberty scene, still gathering knowledge from seasoned/experienced good people like yourselves, which is why I'm here asking...

    Driveway Snow plowing

Thanks once again Tom ! Yeah I looked into it (You Tube) not too bad - how bad is it to get the axle out of the spindle and what size nut/socket is it? I didn't catch that on any video's I watched.. So other than maybe an alignment and maybe coming across other worn out parts, is this...

    Driveway Snow plowing

Uhg. Closer inspection, , the lower front ball joint boots are ripped/torn as well. I know and heard of the Upper ball joints, just replacing the the entire UCA's with new joint's already installed due to not being all that much more expensive... But lowers I believe are a bit more...

    Driveway Snow plowing

I Hope EVERYONE is having Happy and Healthy Holidays TOM, So other than maybe an alignment and maybe coming across worn out parts, is this everything you think I'm going to need? Also if you don't think I really need the JBA UCA's for the lift reasons, maybe I could save some cash by buying...

AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH Tom ! :D and others. So other than maybe an alignment and maybe coming across worn out parts, is this everything you think I'm going to need? Also if you don't think I really need the JBA UCA's for the lift reasons, maybe I could save same cash by buying regular UCA's...

    Driveway Snow plowing

OK, great. getting progress... Sorry few (more -LoL) questions I have though: This will give you 2.5 inches of lift over new stock height of 19 inches from middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare -> So with this set up/height I shouldn't have any issues with extra CV Axles, wheel bearing...

    Driveway Snow plowing

So it looks like you picked up 4.25" inches. Was that with the larger tires? That seems like quite a bit... This Libby is at 31- 3/4" floor to fender... Sounds like from that Thread you started out just like me, not really wanting/needing to go with a lift (at first)... I now do want a bit...

    Driveway Snow plowing

So with your experience and my situation (using the plow for a very short period of the time - no winch) what would you suggest.? Are you saying to go with the front 927's and 948 rears? With What struts and shocks? And who to purchase kit from ?

    Driveway Snow plowing

Just a bit might not be horrible, prob better than using the diesel springs. I wonder how the next set down from the OME 790s would be for my situation? And which to match the rears? So I suppose I'm looking at getting needing: New UCA's (for Ball joint replacement) Front springs and...

    Driveway Snow plowing

That's the way I was originally thinking but, I now think I would like a lift. As I come across other Liberty's here locally that have been lifted they sure look nice and mine parked next to them looks ,,, well, kind of wimpy. Other than just looks, I'm sure I could benefit from the bit of...

Ok after recent inspection my ball joints boots have tears (ball joints are still good - no play yet). SOOOOO, I'm now looking to replace them, most likely with the JBA's (w/ replaceable joints) and I suppose while I'm at it I'll do the lift kit, - struts/springs -....! I went to the Jeep in...

    New to Jeep KJ

Easily enough I was able to find BOTH Under Dash light plugs BOTH Drivers AND the notorious evil Passengers side. I was able to feel for it and just gave it a little tug - mine must have been barley taped, as it came free with hardly any effort:

    New to Jeep KJ

So being that I had a bit of time and I was curious I popped open the knee bolster under the steering column to see what kind of a job they did and what was installed. So it seems they did install both the "by pass module" and the remote start module... See link of pictures...
