    2.4L Off-Idle Stumble/Hesitation

Was it not covered in oil when you changed the plugs Randy? I assumed you changed the plugs recently but maybe you changed them a while ago? Regardless, glad you found the cause of the problem. I better keep an eye on mine now then, didn't know about that common problem. I do now though. You...

    2.4L Off-Idle Stumble/Hesitation

Just been through the exact same problems with my 2.4 (apart from the air filter) Cleaned the throttle body, still the same. Fit new plugs, still the same. Injector cleaner, still the same. Fitted new plug leads and problem disappeared altogether!!!! There was a tiny split in number 3 lead which...

    heater consol lights`

If I understand this correctly, you are saying that you have no illumination on one side of your heater/distribution/fan speed control dials? If this is the case, there are 2 TINY little bulbs in holders in the back of the dash panel behind the control knobs. From memory, there is a screw behind...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Finally got round to replacing Evap vacuum pipe. And while I was under there I decided to change oil and filter. And while I was waiting for oil to drain, I decided to remove sump guard and give it a coat of paint. While waiting for that to dry, painted front suspension to change it from UK...

    Exhaust/Muffler Rattle at low speed/rpm?

Vibration/Rattle Hi Akedos, Checking exhaust/cats/heatshields would be the first place to look as stated by Ry etc but if nothing appears to be loose there and all else fails, take a look at the link to one of my old posts where I tried to describe the "vibration" I was suffering with...

    10 years on....................

Not sure whether I should bring this up or not but just wanted to pass on my regards to anyone and everyone directly or indirectly affected by 911. The one and only minutest scrap of anything resembling good to come out of it was knowing that the last thing that the :favorites68: responsible for...

    people are buttholes...

Bummer about your bump gtommec. Is there no way you can have a word with the supermarket and see if they have any cctv footage seeing as you will know what time it was. Shouldn't take them long to find and maybe get a licence plate number? I don't know if it is the same in the states but it is...

    Co-workers 2004 overheating

Just thinking outside the box for a minute. Does the thermostat actually open? I know you replaced it but that doesn't guarantee it works. Might be worthwhile taking it out and sticking it in a kettle to make sure it opens. An old kettle would be better unless you like the taste of cheap wine...

    Cloth on KJ doors?

Yep, Cloth here as well. 02 Sport (UK Spec) Comes with all the other goodies though, electric mirrors with heater element, remote door locking, leccy windows, sun visor mirrors with lights, roof rails etc. Think positive though, yours has less to go wrong! Glass half full and all that! Hehe...

    Front brake caliper Question

Hi Bulli, Yes that is the way they are designed to work but the one with the rubber "seal" goes on the top not the bottom! It is a good tight squeeze to get the rubber sealed one in and out and they are a lot harder to manually slide in and out but that is the way they are. It is to do with a...

    Roof Rack..............

Thanks Ry. There are a few Grand Cherokee roof racks on ebay but never any decent Mopar ones for the Cherokee (Liberty). Dealer price is just short of £200 over here so I will wait for one to turn up. There are cheaper ones available but you get what you pay for. To quote your countryman...

    Roof Rack..............

Hi All. Does anyone know if the Mopar roof rack from a 1999 to 2005 Grand Cherokee will fit the Liberty? Not too bothered about the width if they are too wide, just not sure about the rail fitments? Thanks, Steve :smokin:

2 problems with driver side door

Nowhere near my Jeep at the moment but from memory, I think the hinges have 3 bolts that bolt to the body. Slacken top AND bottom hinges to allow it to move and try and slide the top hinge towards the front of the Jeep which will have the effect of lifting the top of the door upwards at the...

'04 Liberty Pulls Left When Braking

If it is pulling to the left, the left is braking harder than the right so I would check the right for the fault first, maybe pads seized in or sticking piston caliper or sliders on the caliper? Obviously both sides need to be stripped, cleaned, greased etc so they should both work as well as...

Dual battery system, where to put 2nd batt?

Hey Bulli. Just as a thought while you are in the middle of all your wiring, maybe you could wire in a by pass to your "timed relay" to link the two batteries together at the flick of a switch so if your primary battery goes flat, you will have a battery to jump from already waiting at the...

my first post, v6 to l4 swap

I agree with m_volyrakis. I have got the 2.4 Export 4 Banger with 4.10s and the 5 speed manual and it is quite underpowered, but only as expected. If you want to go fast, buy a sports car. The 2.4 KJ goes ok so long as you don't expect great things from it, but you have to keep it singing to...

Backup Camera Install - Looking for Reverse Wire

Nowhere near my manual at the moment but someone will chip in and tell you. It will have a back up lamp fuse somewhere. Seek and thou shalt find! As somebody famous once said! :smokin:
