Well not welcome yet i find out in January where I can go and im hoping for the east coast since ive only been there flying through! But i am hoping for NJ or Delaware.
so the intermediate shaft goes inside the front differential to both CV joints?
How can you tell if the cv is going bad compared to the intermediate shaft?
What makes them go bad?
Does anybody have a picture of each separate?
I don't know what the difference between them is,k and looking at parts online it looks like they come together, just not sure which is which.
Thanks.
Jake
well i just went an wiggled the parts like in the video and there is very little play.....
I need to figure out whats going on.
I also just looked at the brakes i only have made a few short trips but no scoring on the rotors, and i must have put the line in properly because no leaks :]]]
But...
the wear on my tires is fine, thats what i thought it was first. Then i noticed my brakes were wearing funny on one side.. but the noise has been the same throughout.
The noise i dont hear til i get around10-15mph and increases the faster i go.
But slowing down is normal, the jeep just doesnt...
so tomorrow im going to check and see if they have play in them.. Does the jeep have to be jacked up to do so? And if they do have excessive play what kind of cost and labor am i looking at? Can it be fixed without having to go to the dealership?
so if that has a lot of play that can cause a low somewhat of a growling noise? Its almost sounds as if im running mud tires. But i notice i dont coast like i used to :[ which means for bad gas mileage........
so i replaced the cali[er and slapped on new pads and rotors, and bled the brakes yet im still getting a low groaning tone that gets louder with speed....
so maybe its not the brakes. I have no idea where to look next.
