More pronounced rear end "thunk" after suspension update

That makes sense, and I can confirm it somewhat as I had to jack the rear again to replace the brakes, not nearly as "jolty" as it was. Also noticed some play when rotating rear tires. I have the Spicers to install. Thanks for the reply.

More pronounced rear end "thunk" after suspension update

My KJ has a more noticeable "thunk" in the drive-train post suspension update, when placing into gear, more so when it goes from 3rd-4th if I give it more throttle, hard jolt. It's always done this since I purchased, but more pronounced since the suspension update. I just assumed at the time...

Spring sag two weeks after replacement?

So the OME extended shock is needed?

Spring sag two weeks after replacement?

Ok, I will order those, get my money back on the Moogs. Will only be a $250 difference. I'll run the Bilsteins for now, upgrade to OME shocks later. Thanks Tom.

Spring sag two weeks after replacement?

Stock. I haul motos, go camping, that's about it. I thought the setup I picked out would suffice for my needs. Still scratching my head on the pass side being 1" higher, I reused the isolators, so unsure what could have settled when I run a mental checklist of the involved components. Perhaps...

Spring sag two weeks after replacement?

Understood, I am questioning why the passenger side is 1" higher than the driver's side rear, so you're saying that side should settle also? The rear got new boomer rang, control arms, shocks and springs. Do you have the part number for the stock height OME rears? Rock only shows the 2.5-3...

Spring sag two weeks after replacement?

I replaced my entire front and back suspension/bushing two weeks ago. New Bilstein shocks with Moog springs, 2 weeks later, my driver's side rear has 1" of sag with. I measured center cap to top inner fender, 19" on both fronts and 20" passenger rear (is that normal, I see nothing binding to...

    03' KJ with AC issue

I did the manual blend door calibration (3 times), I cannot confirm my previous findings with certainty, but the A/C works, but in reverse (temp set to HOT) which I've seen mentioned in some of the threads I've came across. I'll need to dig further but I'm happy I at least have air for now!

    03' KJ with AC issue

Oh the joy! My last daily had a bad heater core, same deal, whole dash to repair but some guy found a similar fix as you mention. I guess I will block off a weekend soon, because it's killing my MPG further riding with the windows down, and it's still hot here in Nashville. So far I have this...

    03' KJ with AC issue

Found this thread while documenting steps, KK has the actuator in a different location (lucky) but I have the same blows hot symptom. As stated above, it appears possible it can also break/hang in the HOT position though most threads mention COLD...

    pulls from side to side

I can confirm after a 100 mile interstate ride that it does torque steer on deceleration as the original poster noted.

    pulls from side to side

I have not, plan to do so in October unless it gets too unpredictable then I may have to take to a shop. I bought this to have as a plaything/moto hauler, unfortunately I just moved to new apartments without a garage and all my tools are in storage. Hoping it will hold off any major...

    pulls from side to side

I read through this thread, checked the VIN but only the airbag, front ball joint (performed in 06') and the gas tank placement (I have factory tow hitch) recall pulled up. Mine randomly pulls to the right, much like when driving in a heavy wind gust. I haven't noticed it under or coming off...

    03' KJ with AC issue

Did you document your access hole (sounds naughty ) with pictures?

    03' KJ with AC issue

Agreed. Read over this thread http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f202/how-replace-hvac-blend-door-actuator-59206/ after the mention of the blend actuator. Mine blows hot either in AC or Vent mode, I mean heater hot like from the engine bay. Also notice when I changed the various vent settings, it...

    03' KJ with AC issue

That's exactly what mine is doing, hot air. I tried to circulate the outside which would should have been cooler, but it was straight hot air as if the heater was on.

    03' KJ with AC issue

Thanks for the reply, yes AC clutch is what I meant. AC work isn't my forte, I agree probably best to take to a shop for a leakdown. I can do most other work, but have never attempted AC.

    03' KJ with AC issue

Hi all, bought my coworkers 03' yesterday and the A/C isn't working, blows hot. I looked around in the stickys to see if a common issue and how to troubleshoot. I seem to recall on a forum some time back when I first started contemplating purchasing the KJ a common failure with the fan...
