    Seat Covers

I wonder how much it could cost to ship to Montreal... Maybe I'll call Canada Post tomorrow, any clue on weight? Front and back covers or just one row?

    Newbie here

Hah... my "review" did focus only on the bad. Some context: When I bought my Liberty, I was actually looking for a small SUV that could tow my camper, have 4x4 for winter and to access my land (4 acres of rough terrain) and enough room to lay the seats down and let the dog stretch out on...

    Newbie here

I am not sure you can really get a non biased opinion of a Liberty on a Liberty specific forum... most here love the KJ and defend it to the death. I personally find it very capable off road (even though I am completely stock). If your intent is to modify the heck out of it - which most of us...

What do people think on Synthetic Motor Oil

I personally do very low mileage in a year, around 10,000 km or 6300 miles. I like to change the oil every 5000 km (just a preference) but then that means only every 6 months... because of that I feel the full synthetic better protects me. Its more of a feeling than anything... apparently...

    06 Libby fog lamp bulbs

I've never done it, but this video shows taking off the grill to get access. Not sure... might be worth a try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTS71NQyZCA EDIT: Ha, Gyro beat me to the punch.

    Sorry to hear that.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Meh... often these are two cent questions that don't really deserve a whole new thread (IMO) but then they drag - hard to know if and when to move it to a new thread. I don't take this thread seriously enough to think it hurts anything, but I do get that a separate thread could make sense for...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Duly noted, however, in case you hadn't seen the previous few posts, this started with a "I changed my discs, pads, and parking shoes today" post, and there were a few extra posts afterwards when I noticed a problem. To note: 3 pages of posts after mine was about someone with a vibration...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Rebuilt ones locally are $70 (+$50 for the core which gets reimbursed) each. So with tax it'll be $160 for both... unless I just do one side but my thinking is that if one is bad the other might not be far behind...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I will probably get ripped apart for this question, but here is goes... One of my calipers seems to be sticking. With Easter around the corner I won't have time to swap it out for probably 2 weeks. The rim is getting very hot, disc is discoloring a bit (charcoal) with a smell but it is...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I wonder if I missed a bit of rust on the caliper if the pad could also be cocked a bit. If the piston is cocked, would that mean a new caliper?

What did you do to your jeep today?

I think there is a problem with one my installed brakes. The passenger side is wearing even, whole surface of the disc is showing an even wear patter, but the driver's side only shows the top 1/2 of the disc making contact with the pad. The caliper seemed to push in and out evenly. The...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I wonder if this could also be a factor with some of ours... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHf6Eyxn2ok

What did you do to your jeep today?

Seems to have worked at least some. Did it 3-4 dozen times, slow roll back it'll stop, but not forward in the driveway yet. Will repeat the process a few more times to see if it improves.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Do they self adjust? I'll give it a try... never really played with them before, and got out of the habit of using them since I bought the Jeep because it didn't work. Now I bought a cabin and the driveway is on close to a 45 degree angle so that puts a lot of pressure on the parking pin and...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Installed new rear discs and pads, along with the parking brake shoes. I just broke in the discs and pads as per the manufacturer's procedure, but they don't mention anything about a brake in for the brake shoes themselves. The discs are black coated, I adjusted the e-brake tensioners as I...

    Sudden Extreme Shuddering

I called the local autoparts, they don't sell rebuilt kits, only the full drive shaft and they want a whopping $750 for one! What the hell... how come I can get a $30 rebuild kit but they only sell a $750 new shaft? Don't make any sense... In that link, it says front drive shaft CV joint...

    Sudden Extreme Shuddering

Got a point there... the boot is torn on the front shaft anyway so it can't hurt to replace the entire end. Have to test the CV... Are all these joints supposed to be replaced as part of some scheduled maintenance or are they just "replace when broken" type parts?

    Sudden Extreme Shuddering

I swapped both rear u-joints, the shaking is gone but I do hear some noise now from the front when turning. I think I need to replace the front drive shaft or rebuild it. RockAuto only shows a complete front driveshaft for around $500. EBay shows joint repair kits for $30+... can it really...

    Sudden Extreme Shuddering

My bad... typo, I meant the drive shaft not the axle, sorry for the confusion. Indeed it does seem to be a bad U-Joint. Swapping it out now.
