That is basically how you do it. remove the pins wack one side out to free the cap then same on other side to free from Yoke then do same on driveshaft side.

I thought only 2 on the rear shaft, are there u-joints on the front shaft as well? I thought people were starting to do u-joint conversions on the front?
You don't have to, you can drill right through the plastic bumper. I did take off the bumper because I wanted to drill into the unibody and make the lightbar more secure. The back holes on either side of the bar(for me) have the bolts threaded through the metal on the body. it was a huge pain to...

You are describing something similar to my issue. I noticed that my u-joint on the rear driveshaft is "bad". I say bad because I compared mine to my wifes Kj and hers seals are good and no grease is visible. So I ordered a new one I will let you know after I install it if that clears up my vibe...
I got a little over 60k on my wifes SR-A's, it is about ready for a change. Good thing I have my spare set of oem wheels and SR-A tires from my jeep with only 3k on them to swap out. I will do that after the summer.
If you just want to replace your stock springs buy your self a set of OME 925, they are the same spring rate as stock and should give you little to no lift (from what I have read).
