Need new front springs...
I'm not sure why this needs to be such a difficult thing? Tom seems to be the resident pro at this stuff! Why argue? I'm not sure I get it? Buy and install what YOU think is best for YOUR application. Pretty simple. If it's moog (or whatever) and Monroe then so be it. Be happy with what you have...- Geof3

Front Suspension Replacement - Learning Experience!
I blew the lower ball joint, which is how the service manual suggests, and seemed a good option with less things to take apart. Plus i was unsure if my lower control arm/clevis bushing was totally shot. (it wasn't thankfully) Most do the top, but it seems that usually goes along with an UCA... -

As far as the one size fits all... definitely not. The 927-948 OME is recommended primarily that to get maximum lift and spring rate, whcih maximizes the potential of the jeep and allows for lot's of extras like bumpers, skid plates etc. You can go with whatever combo you wish. The alignment went fully into spec with no issues. Overall, a pretty straight forward deal. Finally. I had a 95 4Runner that was nothing but a ***** to do the suspension work. Now, I drink...:gr_grin:- Geof3

Wow... all of this for a set of springs. I just did the OME stuff. If you search there are PLENTY of shops that sell a full set right in the 850.00 range, shipped. Not bad for the gold standard for the Liberty. I went "medium" all the way around 926/947 after a discussion with ARB. Tom...- Geof3

Actual Lift Amount - Lets Compare Fender Heights
I will throw mine into the mix: 04 Sport (supposedly Rocky Mountain Edition, but not sure) 119k OME 926/948 (medium all the way around) with Nitrocharger Sport shocks 18" both sides Front with stock sus. 18.5 Rear both sides stock 20.5 front both sides front after, 21 rear. All good!- Geof3

Got this thing DONE. Overall, no drama. Discovered an aging boot on my rear axle "half shaft" that I will need to keep an eye on, change out eventually/soon. Netted a dead 2.5" all the way around, 20.5 front both sides, 21 rear. 119k on this one. Didn't take a before, kind of forgot until it...- Geof3

Worth the lift
05 Speed Triple, 06 D675, currently a 2014 Thruxton... Done the Ducati thing, Yamaha thing... always come back to Triumph. Just like them for some reason. Doing all the mods is what make this stuff fun. Usually it makes NO financial sense. Jeez, if we looked at this stuff from that perspective...- Geof3

I think this thing has been a grocery runner most if it's life. Certainly doesn't have any real tell-tale signs of "hard" use. Overall , I think I got a good one! And, I've changed my mind on the bushings... not even gonna try. I'll just wait till the LBJ's are shot and redo the whole thing.- Geof3

So, Looks like I am at 18" center hub to outer lower fender line front, an 18.5" rear. Also looks like my LCA/Clevis bushings are toast. Yea! I just LOVE replacing rubber bushings. SO much fun!- Geof3

Tom, Thanks for that quick reply! I've not had good luck removing and being able to reuse tie-rod ends in the past. (I was hoping I could leave the tie rods in place!) Ball joints not too much issue. What do you recommend for the tie-rods? Pickle forks suck. Just a puller or is there a bang and...- Geof3
