So you are saying its the design itself that makes them so helpless? I consider a Liberty a step above a Escape for off road (such as they are), below an Escape for highway use on slick roads. An Escape at least can use its ABS system to send traction to all 4 wheels - something that a stock...
If it were only the tires it wouldn't be an issue. Its the lack of weight and locking axles. My 25 year old Bronco with LS axles front and rear embarrass the Liberty and it only gives up about 2 miles per gallon on the highway with a nice 351W V8.
Ethanol?

My 2005 has done it since I bought it at 60K. When it is close to full I set the handle at the slowest flow, hasn't spilled any since about the 4th day I owned it. Just another issue that Dodge didn't care to get right or fix once it was known.
I wouldn't drive it long with the Seafoam in it. Get it up to operating temps and couple times then do a flush with a shop that isn't afraid to let the cleaner cycle through for a while. These things don't have a real filter, just a screen like 90% of the transmissions on the road. If the...
I used a similar one (and priced) on my Jeep. Given the price I don't know why anyone would go used - its not like the originals are worth a crap anyway.
Agreed.
I also wouldn't try to go to far between oil changes with the 3.7 engine. Head gaskets are a very common failure item and introducing water to engine that tends to create sludge anyway is not one I'd try for extended oil oil changes. The rest of the engine is no mean feat of...
Years back I had a 1990 Ranger - 16.0 gallon fuel tank. Pulled into the lcoal gas station knowing I was on fumes and got almost 17 gallons in it. Clerk didn't like me asking how it was possible that such a thing could happen.
Agreed. You just can't buy the cheapest one listed. Modine replacement radiators were usually better than the factory originals - but I haven't bought one for several years. I found a good radiator shop that can actually make repairs.
As mentioned by the OP the hoods do interchange between the 02 to 07. If you remove the most of the front clip (grill, bumper and front fenders) from a 2003 can you bolt it on a 2006?
I agree that the you can not switch only the bumper and grill without replacing the fenders. - unless you...
Or that you shouldn't attempt violent maneuvers at high speed with a blown tire?
I am waiting to find that the hitch is found not to fix the exposed gas tank issue.
Fiat is supposed to recall 500,000 pickups, that's just 150,000 less than the entire Cash for Clunkers program - only...
