Glass can easily warp given enough time. Glass is a liquid not a real solid, over a long peroid time it will flow. When stained glass windows are taken out of cathedrals during renovation or war they are stored upside down. That said your sunroof is probably not warped unless made that way.
From the service manual it looks like the sunroof has two drains one on the front passenger side that goes down the A pillar and one that is on the rear drivers side and goes behind the rear door. You might also want to make sure the drain is not disconnected along the way. I had an Escape that...
I believe you will need a 2002 or 2003 evic to get the temperature display to work when you get the temp sensor installed. If I recall correctly the bus address of the temperature readout changed in 2004.
I just made a trip from Tulsa to Leavenworth, KS and back, got 31MPG calculated. First time over 27MPG. In town is looking like 23MPG currently. Improvement if fuel economy occurred after warranty rework of rear differential(all new bearings).

I had a problem with my 2005, the problem was not about burned vs pressed, just a problem with the CD player. The problem is very common and intermittent. Just replace the CD player, very easy.
Actually maximum drag is developed just before the tire starts sliding. Once the tire starts to slide friction drops dramatically. A well designed ABS system stops faster than sliding all four wheels and still allows some control.
