    Will this fit my KJ?

Tom, I cut my stock muffler off right at the muffler (with a sawzall) where the pipe has reduced to 2.25" and connected the Thrush at that point on both ends. 2.5" was too big, 2.25" was a perfect fit. Now if the stock muffler is reduced to 2.25" at the muffler, then another muffler with a 2.25"...

    Anemic backup lights....

No worries brother.... Lens melting was one of my concerns as well, especially since the housing wasn't designed for the heat of a halogen bulb. edit:....I also followed the link Liberty posted, and found a set of PIAA H.I.D. replacement bulbs that claim to be extremely bright, if these...

    Anemic backup lights....

As a matter of fact GJ they did, but like telephone numbers in those days it only had a letter and 3 numbers on it.....:p Advanced Auto had Sylvania extra bright replacement bulbs that have a light blue tint to them, but nothing that was quartz halogen, for 8 bucks I'll try these first to see...

    Anemic backup lights....

You guys are joking....."RIGHT"..... I drive fire apparatus for a living, I also drive 3400 gallon home heating oil tank trucks at my side job, this has nothing to do with the tinted back window, I never turn my head farther then to look at my side view mirrors while backing up, the reverse...

    Will this fit my KJ?

I'd be willing to debate that, the Thrush I installed on my '05 Renegade had 2.25" pipe at both ends, slipped right over the existing pipe and clamped right on. The stock exhaust pipe is 2.5" but reduces down to 2.25" where it connects to the stock muffler. I can only assume it depends on...

    Anemic backup lights....

Does anybody know if there's a higher intensity replacement bulb for the backup lights on a KJ.....? The stock lights on my Libby suck, I really don't want to mount an outboard light, so if anyone knows of a better bulb please post the make, model number, and a source where I can buy...

    Trail Gear

I did not know that about tow straps with hooks. I actually use 5/8" nylon rope, have one with hooks and one with loops spliced on the ends. The nylon rope has a lot of stretch and give to it, and has worked well on the beach pulling others out of the soft sand......

    Synthetic Oil

Like I said before, I go every 5,000, and the oil comes out looking like it could go another 5,000... again that's always using a top of the line filter, and I never push it past the 5,000 mile mark. One thing I don't believe, and that's this new Mobile synth that claims you can go 15,000...

No one here wants to see this..

I've owned four 4-wheel drive vehicles in my lifetime, every one from my 1985 Toyota pickup to the Liberty Renegade I have now all came with the perquisite warning labels plastered on the sun visor or dash indicating a high center of gravity vehicle has more potential to loose control or roll...

    Lift Progression

Funny....I'm in the same situation tire wise....went and bought new tires...then lifted it, should of done it the other way around. and it's not so much the small size as it is tread design....although they really do need to be bigger.....

    OMG!!! Look at how..............

You got me there brother.....I'm not sure they ever did..... Besides, I'm not a big football fan, I'm more of a baseball and ice hockey fan..... so I'm more of a Phillies and Flyers fan...(although I also secretly route for the NJ Devils too).....;)

    My Jeep is hurtin :(

The real problem today is cops take the easy route in all accident investigations. Some see it as the cops being lazy, but the real issue is the mountain of paper and computer work involved. The rules of investigating and writing up an accident report has gotten so complicated, time consuming...

    OMG!!! Look at how..............

......Philadelphia Eagles.......:D Well, at least you didn't filthy it up with Pittsburgh Pirates stickers.....(whistle) As for the tires, I'm not a big fan of the white lettering either, especially if it's a very desirable brand / model tire....park in Atlantic City for 5 minutes, and...

    I finally did it :)

Doesn't look like there's anything wrong with the way it's sitting, let the new springs settle in for a bit before you clevis or spacer lift it anymore. Looks good....

    Better late than never.......

Actually....."NO".... The dealer that sold me this Liberty went to jail about two months after I purchased it. Seems they were taking trade-in's that weren't paid off, and not paying them off, the previous owners were getting collection notices on vehicles they no longer owned.....:rolleyes...

Need your advice!!! This is serious

When my '85 Toyota 4 X 4 pickup got rear ended, the insurance adjuster told me it could be fixed. Keep in mind this vehicle spent over 12 years driving the beach, so advanced rust was a factor this guy wasn't looking at, plus the fact that the accident tore my rear axle completely off the frame...

    Jeep owner's style of modification....

I understand and appreciate where you're coming from with this J-Thompson, but if I were to sit here and break things down to every particular modification that can be made to a Liberty or any other model Jeep, this poll would be massive and most wouldn't want to read it all. I wanted to include...
