New Belt - No AC
X3 Agree sounds like AC clutch, ours fried up bad and turned the compressor like a red/brown colour - murphy's law - hottest day of the summer a couple years ago. Was a bit $$ replacing compressor and recharging etc. Did a search on AC clutch shredding belts till they burn, and compressor...- huntbuggy

shocks for 2 inch lift
Rs9000xl Considered going the RS9000XL route as there was a free compressor and plumbing promo before Christmas but couldn't get the price I wanted as I'm in Canada - so bought Bilstein. There are some people here, on LOST and on the Aussie forums who run them so shouldn't be any issues IMHO...- huntbuggy

I think he's looking for just front struts. So yes, he's correct - the new Bilstein part number 24-139168 (aka F4-BE5-D916-H0) is the correct front strut for KJ. Just bought these and the box has both part numbers. Chris, check out allshocks.com they should have these around $90, much...- huntbuggy

Suspension tool kit
Air tools? Don't think anyone mentioned but my #1 fave in the garage is a good compressor and complete set of air tools. Good for making a lot of the work go faster and without the bloody knuckles wrenching or forcing breakers. (Sometimes cheaper to get extra air tools than AC or rechargable...- huntbuggy

High sodium in oil sample
Kitchen chemist... Agree you need more constant testing and an initial control to compare to before making conclusions. I don't buy the road salt intake theory, especially given CaCl2 and many road salts here have little to no sodium and you'd have more problems than a little sodium in oil...- huntbuggy

Was curious so stopped by my buddy's truck and transmission shop at lunch to get a ballpark (really just wanted to ask an exhaust question but why not). Not much apparently, some here have said they ride about the same - have not tried either yet so can't confirm. At arbcanada you could probably get a good price on springs you decide on, and package OME NS131 front struts and the N132 (or long travel N132-L for lifted) rear shocks... Tony over...- huntbuggy

Repainted some things
Yup took your advice and after 2 coats black did 3 coats clear on the new transfer case skid... just used the cheap stuff from Princess Auto. Just wish I had done my Reese hitch when I put it on a few years ago but needed to use it right away and wasn't thinking. It's starting to rust at...- huntbuggy
