    KJ parts in Canada

PJF 4x4 Found another spot in Quebec - they know their stuff. Can get Yukon, Superior and Spicer gears, axle parts etc... and lots of offroad/lift accessories. Used to install too but perhaps only summer months. http://www.pjf4x4.com/portal/index.php?lang=en :happy107:

    New Belt - No AC

X3 Agree sounds like AC clutch, ours fried up bad and turned the compressor like a red/brown colour - murphy's law - hottest day of the summer a couple years ago. Was a bit $$ replacing compressor and recharging etc. Did a search on AC clutch shredding belts till they burn, and compressor...

    shocks for 2 inch lift

Rs9000xl Considered going the RS9000XL route as there was a free compressor and plumbing promo before Christmas but couldn't get the price I wanted as I'm in Canada - so bought Bilstein. There are some people here, on LOST and on the Aussie forums who run them so shouldn't be any issues IMHO...

    shocks for 2 inch lift

I think he's looking for just front struts. So yes, he's correct - the new Bilstein part number 24-139168 (aka F4-BE5-D916-H0) is the correct front strut for KJ. Just bought these and the box has both part numbers. Chris, check out allshocks.com they should have these around $90, much...

    Suspension tool kit

Air tools? Don't think anyone mentioned but my #1 fave in the garage is a good compressor and complete set of air tools. Good for making a lot of the work go faster and without the bloody knuckles wrenching or forcing breakers. (Sometimes cheaper to get extra air tools than AC or rechargable...

New to me 04 Jeep, New to site too

I have 18" OE Bridgestone Duelers on my wife's SUV and they are hopeless in winter weather. They are not bad for a summer tire, wet and highway rolling but would never run them in winter. (We run winters here - Toyo and Nokian in my case have had very good experience). The Liberty is a really...

    Rola Roof Basket Arrived

Love how you put pics for everything Tim, gives a good idea every step of your installs, and sprouts new ideas. Agree with Tom I'd like to see if there's something (cheap) to get the crossbars low to the roof and have even a tall rack be low profile. Saw this thread on jeepforum and hope...

    High sodium in oil sample

Kitchen chemist... Agree you need more constant testing and an initial control to compare to before making conclusions. I don't buy the road salt intake theory, especially given CaCl2 and many road salts here have little to no sodium and you'd have more problems than a little sodium in oil...

    Fuel injector Cleaner Opinions

LucasOil Use this stuff in all our vehicles 1-2 times a year. The trucks at work get this stuff often, gas or diesel, not sure what intervals tho. I usually put this in a tank prior to some highway miles to ensure flow through fuel system - and throttle up a lot :) (I usually drive the...

Who has the best prices on ARB Air lockers?

Miller time, lol. Thx y'all. I've been schooled. Now way out of my price range in Canada (ARB DTT). (Mental note - never use a wiki to price or shop lol - http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Jeep_Liberty/Lockers - the classic wiki "This page may need to be reviewed for quality) Sorry to digress...

Who has the best prices on ARB Air lockers?

Why? Is there no Aussie for our poor D30a ? http://www.aussielocker.com/index.php/aussie-locker-xd-13027.html Not sure now... perhaps our carrier can't fit it like in D30... Too bad, what other cheaper front lockers do ppl use...?

Good tip. Direct from Teraflex no waiting and no UPS (would have dealt with jba if I needed other stuff but...) Cha-ching.

    Rola Roof Basket Arrived

Man that looks pretty nice. Just 2 questions - about how deep is it and if you don't mind me asking about how much was it?

Who has the best prices on ARB Air lockers?

Was curious so stopped by my buddy's truck and transmission shop at lunch to get a ballpark (really just wanted to ask an exhaust question but why not). He said he had done a few Jeep diff rebuilds but never a KJ's. Rebuild and regear to 4.10 front and rear he told me around $2200 but that's...

CNC clevis spacers... Anyone making CNC clevis spacers ? Conduit nuts are cheap, but these looked pretty nice... (Or anyone got specs on theirs re: thickness, inside and outside diameters?)

OME or Bilstein shocks for LibertyTc's KJ?

Front boot on... ok. What's the verdict on the rears - install boot up or boot down? kopkrab.gif

    OME in Canada

Not much apparently, some here have said they ride about the same - have not tried either yet so can't confirm. At arbcanada you could probably get a good price on springs you decide on, and package OME NS131 front struts and the N132 (or long travel N132-L for lifted) rear shocks... Tony over...

    Repainted some things

Yup took your advice and after 2 coats black did 3 coats clear on the new transfer case skid... just used the cheap stuff from Princess Auto. Just wish I had done my Reese hitch when I put it on a few years ago but needed to use it right away and wasn't thinking. It's starting to rust at...
