Definitely check the oil filter, I had it loosen on me on my last 1,200 mile trip. Changing oil all my life and the Jeep is the first time this has occurred on me.
Thanks, hopefully it helps the community out. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's tired of car washes bending or removing my front plate. It's been through several and is solid.
Hello all, just thought I'd post a picture of my front license plate holder for the KK liberty. The holder I ordered is for the Jeep Commander. What I did is where the Liberty bumper has the notch cut out where the tag goes I trimmed a matching notch into the Commander holder. I then used a...
I'm saving up for OME lift however the suspension was so dire, riding on the bump stops that I supplemented with Gabriel springs and shocks. My cost was 160 bucks and my time to install. The Gabriel ride height is 18 1/4 front and 18 3/4 rear. I know it won't last more than 25k miles but that's...
Hey all just posting here to avoid a new thread. Took the Jeep on vacation the past couple of weeks and did some more maintenance catch up along the way since I had access to a full shop at my parents house. Traveled 2,200 miles round trip averaging between 20-23 mpg depending on the wind...
Hi, how many miles are on your Liberty? I’d swap the coil on that cylinder with one that hasn’t shown a misfire and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder. Could be a wire since there’s only three coil packs, so carefully move the wire with it. I’d almost call that a serious coolant loss...
Maybe he’ll chime back but I’ve had plenty of experience with KYB. They are used a lot on Nissan products. I’d imagine the ride being pretty close to how a Nissan Frontier rides. Stiff but not jarring.
Glad you got the suspension replaced with what makes you happy. I cheaped out and used Gabriel all around mine. About 1k on them now and the ride is satisfactory, although styrofoam blocks shoved into the springs would have rode better than what I was riding on. Lol 215 bucks for the Gabriel set...
Update/Corrections. The coolant I replaced back into the system is a NOAT, thus the red color, the HOAT is orange. Also. The blend door calibration with Heater Core power flush did fix my no heat problem. Hopefully it stays calibrated. Temp gun reads 184 out the vents now, excellent for winter
Sorry I haven’t looked yet. Went to look but I couldn’t find my panel tools to pull everything off. Will try again once I’ve found them. If anyone else gets too it fist that doesn’t hurt my feelings.
They didn’t put Hoat in when the flushed it the first time, took it back and put Hoat in, the Host I used is red and it was red prior too the flush. They put in some yellow coolant they buy in bulk (universal) I got some Hoat from my works shop that is red, our Semi trucks are Chrysler built and...
Hey all, I had the Jeep back at the shop so they could put the correct coolant back into it. Before I took it I noticed the coolant in the tank had turned an orange color. So happens that I use rainx orange washer fluid. I presume that the can't mix together and the tanks are separated. However...
Thanks everyone, and great read hoosier. I will examine closely but for the time I’ll have allowed to do if I pull the trigger an 06 for a direct swap seems to be my best bet to avoid and issues. I miss the old days when space was the only real concern of what engine you could use.
