Rear glass lift struts
That is because y'alls jeeps are lifted. The worn out shocks had that glass window only open to right where it would smack me in the forehead if I reached into the back for something given the jeep we bought is standard height. New window shocks were cheaper than lifting the jeep;)- jeepop

Hope and change ... When you have toys to tow you don't hope, you find out facts. Fact = a 5000 lbs tow rating for a mid-sized SUV is non-existent other than with the Liberty, FJ Cruiser, and some X-Terras. Few wranglers can even tow 3500. Most are rated for about a good bike rack...- jeepop

Rear glass lift struts
I picked up two from Rock Auto. 5% off coupon here, about $10 each, ultra-power brand. It definitely takes a more dedicated and intentional push to close, but one click of the remote and the window is up and out of the way.- jeepop

What did you do to your jeep today?
Replaced the front hubs and got rid of the bearing noise. New lift support shocks for the rear window. Sucked out tranny fluid and topped off, and changed the oil. I bought this KJ for my daughter but I am really enjoying driving it. It is a much more pleasant drive into the city than my...- jeepop

Adding AC compressor to my list. It is leaking where the two main sections come together. I will probably get one of the compressor, dryer, tube kits from Rock Auto. My rock auto cart is getting pretty full.- jeepop

You were correct on this: c. check rear CV boot of front driveshaft. replace if torn. most of us buy a replace from Search - ME807 I got my finger up into the boot and there is a tear. Are that any symptoms this causes? I am pretty certain I have a bearing going bad, but wonder if this is...- jeepop

The coolant is HOAT. I will try to capture most of it when I do the water pump. I will do that first, so no animals drink the small puddle under the jeep. The tires look great. I guess they could be unbalanced, though. The car sat for about 6-7 months while they replaced the cats slowly...- jeepop

Picked up a 2006 Jeep Liberty for my daughter. We found a sport trim 4x4 with 150,000, gold brown color. She is really excited. It seems like a great first vehicle for her. The previous owner stopped driving it because of problems, and slowly replaced the cats, o2 sensors, radiator...- jeepop
