    Lock front or rear

Good find, icarl. I wonder if this would apply equally to an auto locker. I've been thinking of putting an Aussie in the front of my Ranger and I've got an LSD in the rear, but thinking of leaving it and replacing later. I'm thinking I'd be better off with a locker/LSD than open/locker. What...

    forseeing how-tos for KK

Thieves are stupid. Had a Miata once that was broken into. The idiot could've slid his hand inside the back window of the soft top, unzipped it from the outside, climbed in, taken everything, zipped it back up, unlocked the front door, climbed out, locked it, and then shut the door back. No...

The Official "My Gas Mileage Sucks" Thread

I'm happy if I see 16mpg. I don't think I've had mine over 65mph since I've owned it (Dec 06). Guam is a small island and it's basically "city" driving 90% of the time for me. Not exactly "city", but almost always short trips. Driving around on base most of the time and when you do go off...

    What i want !!

I'll second the Rock Crawler wheels. I've got the Series 97 on my Ranger and they look sweet. FWIW, I'm runnin' 245/75-16's on my KJ with a 2.5" Rusty's lift with no rub and plenty of room in the wells.

New all terrain tires for Liberty Sport: which ones?

Most definitely go with an MT if you're driving that much off-road. That being said, if it's gotta be an AT, then I'd probably go with the BFG, too. Firestone Dest A/T gets good reviews on The Rack, too, though so you can't rule it out.

    how to spend $150 windfall??

Dinner with wifey might make it easier to soften her up for more mods than $150 will buy!

    Malfunction Indicator Lamp

Thanks! Got it. It was a 455. I found the leak (vacuum line that we forgot to hook back up after the install), fixed it, pulled the negative battery cable, hooked it back up and the light went out. Thanks all!

    Another Nitrogen in Tires Question

What's the best way to determine the proper pressure when you change to a larger tire? I know I used to run the 235/70-16 Crapyear's at 35psi, but now that I'm on 245/75-16 BFG's should I up that?

    How long can I wait..

Heck, yeah, he's serious. Actually, I think he's being generous. Guam is ~220 square miles. It's ~25 miles north to south (I think) and anywhere from 4-12 miles east to west depending on where you're measuring. I think that's a little closer to the distances. FWIW, I got the alignment today.

    How long can I wait..

I'm mainly worried 'cause they're already low on tread a little, these Goodyears suck (!), and Guam's roads aren't anywhere near the greatest roads that I've ever driven on.

    Choice

My first Jeep (my current Jeep) is a 2002 KJ Limited (in case you couldn't tell from my name. I'm happy with it. Yeah, it has drum rear brakes, but that doesn't worry me. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have ABS! I guess I could've checked that before I bought it, but for the $10k I...
