There are already 2 Jeep crossover models; the Compass and the Patriot. The slapping happened awhile ago. :D
People said the same thing about the Libby when it came out. An IFS Jeep? Blasphemy! And even about the Cherokee. A unibody Jeep? Blasphemy!
Flat hood Rennie's were '05-'06 only. There weren't any '07 Renegades.
I don't like the looks of the regular looking KJ's. To feminine for my tastes. :p
LOL. Go back and read the other posts dude. What you are talking about isn't even relevant to the discussion. How does a stretched rig with Dana 60's and 14 bolts even get brought up in a KJ vs Wrangler discussion? What I stated earlier is true, a Wrangler with its shorter wheelbase and...
Gotta disagree on that. There is a reason why the wheelbase hasn't changed much in the past 40 whatever years of CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's. And maneuverability is a big factor of that. Ask any 4 door JK owner (aka school bus driver). :D Guys aren't stretching their rigs to maneuver better. It...
No comparison. I have seen mildly built Wranglers do things that were insane. Stuff I couldn't even begin to attempt in my KJ, and I have attempted some pretty stupid things.
I do think a lifted Libby can hold its own against a stock Wrangler though. But a Wrangler with the same amount of...
I get them every couple months. If only they remembered the condition my Jeep is in; I already had my warranty voided / reimbursed. I don't think they would want it. :D
I had the same issue on my '06. Front ABS sensor wire was ruined causing all the lights on the dash. Check your sensor wires. Mine was visibly ruined so it was easy to troubleshoot.
Well here comes a Optima bashing thread. OP you may want to look for answers elsewhere. :D
Edit: Nevermind. LibertyTC is coming through with some good info.
They are eliminating the Patriot from what I've read, and the Compass is staying as a mini-Grand Cherokee like it is now. Not looking good for the Lib. The only decent Jeep left is going to be the Wrangler. At least they improved that this year.
Got all excited when I seen the guy was in Kingman, AZ. To bad the bumper is in Texas. Was hoping to get rid of some of this overtime money that has been burning a hole in my pocket. :D
My money is on it being a 4 cylinder, IFS, IRS, AWD grocery getter along the lines of the Honda CRV and other midsize car based SUV's. Ehhh, it was a good run.
You just bought a 5000 pound brick. It isn't going to handle like a car. Lots of rolling resistance! If the transfer case was in neutral, you are right, you wouldn't move. The salesman you were dealing with sounds like a tool.
