2004 Jeep Treble - FUNNY STORY!

LOL reminds me of our old family car, good ol' BU_CK. The "I" had fallen out years before, BUCK was all we ever called it.

    Liberty Handling

I guess I will get flamed, but if I were looking for a 4WD to tow behind a motorhome, I'd look for a nice first-generation (pre-2002) Honda CRV. Lighter tow weight, good ground clearance, much better fuel mileage and utterly reliable. The only downside - my opinion, and the only reason I...

***Pictures*** My sunroof is leaking. Please help!

Take a cup of water and slowly pour it down into the front drain hole...does it leak into the cabin? My guess is that either the plastic fitting is loose where it is attached through the sunroof pan, or the hose is split where it is forced onto the barbed drain fitting. Either way, you will...

    Window Regulator - Broke again

I understand that they're the supplier for the glass component. That doesn't necessarily mean that they perform all of the sub-assembly work, though. Potentially there could be a third entity or even plant-side.

    Window Regulator - Broke again

The passenger side front window on my '02 Limited just detached today. Frankly, this is right up my alley, since I am in the OEM glass assembly business for Honda of America. One of my glass suppliers, a PPG representative, also visits Toledo to review accumulated reject parts at the plant and...

    Spare tire bike rack

You're not going to harm anything with that amount of weight - as long as you keep the door closed. And you don't want to swing the door open and hang on the end of the open door. Then, you would definitely bend the hinges and inner door panel. It happens!! Andy

    Air Conditioning Stuck "on"

FYI, in my '02 the A/C is active in both full defrost and defrost/floor mix. The only settings in which the A/C should NOT activate are floor, panel, and floor/panel mix. Here's my question. Is your A/C a factory option, or dealer-added option? Good luck, Andy

no lift but want bigger tires?

If you are only wanting a little increase in height WITHOUT a lift, put on a set of 225/75/16's. It's the stock tire size on the Sport models, and slightly taller than the 235/70's. By slightly taller, I mean like between 1/4" to 1/2". The 235/70's were OEM with the off-road package. Andy

    Suspension Piece Parts

Hi, I'm going to install OME HD springs and struts on my '02. It's not high-mileage, but I figure since everything is going to be apart anyway, I would like to go ahead and replace the piece parts while I'm at it - nuts, bolts, bushings, etc etc... anyone know if all that stuff is available...

    Mopar Roof Bars / Cross-Bars

150 pounds max? Feh. If I can strap it down, it goes on top - period!! (Slightly tongue-in-cheek). Usually when I ratchet stuff down, I loop the strap under the roof rail and around back up to the outside of the cross-bar and hook on. I figure that way even if the cross-bar comes loose...

    Mopar Roof Bars / Cross-Bars

Hi Everyone, Here is a general question for everyone who has the Mopar roof cross-bars: I installed them. They look fine - the teardrop cross-section ones with the rubber strip on top. I was a little worried about the small hex screws inside that tighten the clamp up against the roof...

Power Steering Pump - death rattle?

Hey everybody, It's cold here in Ohio but not intolerable. I jumped into the Libby and let her warm up for a few minutes after work. Pulling out of the parking lot, I could hear a noisy commotion under the hood on the right side every time I sawed the wheel back and forth. No extra effort...

    Binding 4WD drivetrain

I have had similar problems in the past. Check the air pressure in both front tires. They must be very close, within 2-3 psi of each other. If they are more than that the transfer case will bind up, same as if the tire sizes were different. I would shift from 4WD-Full through 4WD-PT and...
