Noise at 50+mph - bearings, tranny?
I was gonna suggest what RockyMountain just said. I have the same type of noise at about 40-50. However, when I pulled the front driveshaft, I could tell the noise was still there. I have noticed my front rotors are warped pretty bad, and who knows what else. I plan on doing brakes soon...- osufans

I'll take the corrode part, and fail eventually, sure. But in 5 or 6 years? Completely unreasonable. 10 or more would be acceptable, but even then, shouldn't be the rule. And I'm not talking body panels here, I mean SERIOUS frame/suspension parts. I should not have to worry about a control...- osufans

Oh my god what the??
I was gonna say check the water pump...but I see that was you that posted the other thread. If you didn't originally install the water pump (or even if you did), I would suggest ensuring the gaskets were properly seated then reinstall and test.- osufans

Tranny shifting delay
I wanna say the solenoids are notorious for going out in these things. I can't remember if it was for the Jeep, or another Chrysler site I frequent that mentioned solenoids being a big issue. that sounds like what mine started doing last year. turned out to be a tiny leak in the condenser at the front of the radiator. you might see some oil residue on either end of it that would indicate a leak. i ended up evacuating the system, sealing the pinhole with some epoxy, letting it...- osufans

Broken spark plug.
I would have to agree with you. I've had dry, un-lubed bolts shear due to excess friction, where a lubed bolt would not have done so. It would make sense that the rated torque would be based on the load of the mating surfaces of the lug nut against the rim, rather than the threads of the nut...- osufans

Tire Opinions
So here's the thing, and correct me if I'm wrong, but once you go to an LT tire, they no longer have wear ratings, but rather load ratings (Load C,E). I've seen/heard of examples where trucks, (diesels esp) will chew up a "50K mile" tire in 25K miles, because the tire wasn't really applicable...- osufans
