Hate to be this guy but, need to ask fitment question:

you may have some rubbing on the swaybar, but other than that, you should be good. i've seen plenty of jeeps stock running 245/75's. i'm running 265's on my stock rims and only have minor rubbing issues on the swaybar, as well as the pinchweld seam. you shouldn't have any issues rubbing the...

So this is what the whole "Jeep" thing is about

Oh, and there's plenty of mods to keep that wallet empty. Welcome, and congrats on your new Jeep!

    Finaly got one

Nice find and welcome! I too was surprised about my Liberty. It's not a Wrangler, but it gets the job done, and is more than capable. Have fun with it!

    Time for a new poll...

I'll go with Z - Tow Truck too. Put a hitch on it after we sold my other vehicle with a hitch. Now that I have a much more economical DD, the Jeep stays parked until I need to pull my trailer. :) Although, I'd be willing to try some real trail riding. Just haven't had the time or money...

I've done some reading. I've done some wrenching. Still, P0456

Cool. Maybe it was just a bad gas cap seal?? That would most definitely be the best problem to have had. :)

I've done some reading. I've done some wrenching. Still, P0456

Sorry. In hindsight that may have come off a bit rash. Anywho...I came across both of those links searching the forum and google with only the P0456 code. I actually didn't realize you had the other code as well. I'd start checking the evap lines for cracks as that's probably your culprit.

I've done some reading. I've done some wrenching. Still, P0456

Found another. I'm not trying to come off sounding like an a$$, but it's amazing what answers one can find if they do a search, both on the web and in the forum. http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f196/confusing-po442-medium-evap-leak-code-48995/#post543414 Let me google that for you

I've done some reading. I've done some wrenching. Still, P0456

My first thought, which was confirmed by searching the forum with your CEL code, was the evap leak at the rear of the Jeep. There's a line that gets a crack in it. You'll probably be able to find pics and everything, but here's a quick link that discusses it...

    Rims and tires with pics!

Here's mine with 265/75R16's on OME 926/948 lift, with 3 conduit clevis lift. No other mods (no top plate or wheel spacers.) Get some mild rubbing on the pinchweld plastic and swaybar, nothing too drastic though.

    I'm Happy to Report . . .

I two a zero-turn mower ~800#'s, don't have any issues. And that's with 265's with 3.73 gears. It can get a tad sluggish, but it pulls just fine. I'm going to a quad park this weekend and will get a decent drive in with a trailer and thru some hills. I'll report how it goes.

Welcome. How long before you lift and stuff bigger tires? :D

    New Owner

I've had the rear e-brake friction material come off the shoe and tumble around inside the e-brake drum. Scared the crap out of me too, cause it would get lodged and cause a thumping sound as I was driving. When I pulled the rotor off, the friction pad was completely off the e-brake shoe, and...

    Tire size with 2.5 lift

Just my $.02...I'm running the OME lift with 926 springs up front (medium duty), a three nut clevis spacer, and have 265/75R16's on the factory 16x7 wheels. I also have the Terra-Flex bumpstops up front, with dual hockey pucks in the back. Have just a touch of rubbing on the swaybar and the...

    New Hitch from HitchAnything

It's a class III hitch. It's about as sturdy as a hitch gets. :)

    New Hitch from HitchAnything

Yeah. As I noted in the original comment...I had to get a tap and clean out the threads. They were pretty corroded and wouldn't even allow the bolts to start until I chased them with a tap and cleaned them out. That took longer than the rest of the install. Once they were cleaned out, I had...

    A/C issues on my 02'

Mine started getting weak when idling...then let go altogether. Discovered a pinhole leak in one of the loops of the condenser (in front of the radiator.) If you don't hear the clutch cycling, that could be because the refrigerant is too low. The compressor has a safety switch and stops...

    Kumho MT KL71?

Wow. Glad to hear your wife is OK. Poor Jeep though...that one looks like mine. :( Hope everything works out for you.

Bigger tires and lift affecting MPG...

Good deal, that's what I was looking for. Unfortunately, we never drove my Jeep on long trips cause we had the van, so I don't have any estimate of what it gets truly highway on long drives. However, just average commute with mostly highway, I can't say I saw better than 19, maybe 20. Heck...

    Newbie question

I had 235-70's on mine as OEM tires. They fit fine...but you may be limited in tire selection at that size. I've seen 245-75's on unlifted Liberty's...but that all depends on how your stock suspension is holding up. My suggestion is to go to a tire shop and see what they have, and ask if...
