    Shifter knob replacement.

Aw man! I didn't know you were a machinist. I actually learned doing this project the difference between rethreading and cutting dies. Haha! Well hopefully I learned others :). Post some pics when you do yours.

    Shifter knob replacement.

that would be me sir. :) I thought about doing a how to thread. To remove the knob, carefully pry up on the leather base, there are like 6 retainers. Then lift up the leather boot, you can then see how the knob is attached to the shift rod. Push down on the knob and turn it, there is a roll...

Yeah definitely. I have a compressor that doesn't run my impact gun well but is good enough for my air ratchet.

    popping front end noise fix

For several years I had been wondering what the occassional single pop sound was when I would park or take off. I had checked every nut and bolt in the front suspension, crawled under while people would bounce the bumper (of course no noise then). Finally a few weeks ago when changing my...

    Christmas came early

yep, I always presoak with PBB a day or two before a job, especially outboard motors. I really should not have any difficulty, I will probably take the time to clean and paint some things, or at least clean, and I will have the A arm pockets to cut out and paint.

    Christmas came early

after reading of the fun to remove and install LBJs I will be estimate back in to 9 hours for the whole job, CVs, A arms, full suspension, LBJs, and chasing tools that I throw across the yard or into the stratosphere.

Well the transformation will begin soon

I just got my intermediate shaft yesterday in the mail. So all my parts are now in the garage waiting on me to do the lift. Bring all your stuff down to warm Florida and we can lift them both in the driveway. Ha ha!

I'll post pics, I should have everything, or most everything I think I need. Plus, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto and Lowes, are all withing bicycle distance. Now I just need a day and a half of no one in the house. My two year old sees me working on something and she gets her stroller out, flips...

Santa didn't bring it, I had to pay but still, Christmas on Dec. 4th. Fed Ex delivered my Lift kit, TM econo lift. Picked up my CV assemblies and seal puller from NAPA yesterday also. My intermidiate shaft, axle seals, 35MM socket, 21 MM wrench, all on planes and trucks about to converge at...

CV replacement parts list, missing anything?

Thank you Tom. From reading the how-to's, sound like I don't need to open the diff cover, that the left CV and the Interm. shaft will pop out with encouragement after everything else is disconnected.

CV replacement parts list, missing anything?

When I get and install my Tommudd lift and A arms from JBA I'm going to do my CVs. Although the boots aren't torn, seems like I have slop in the right side one, and a thumping noise starting at about 40mph, that increases with speed. Feels like its on the passenger floor. Front driveshaft...

    Speakers

Good, should be easier to upgrade without the Infinity system. TexasRock, my comment was based on knowledge of an '02, it had the infinity system. Front door speakers with the amps, the connectors had no less than 8 wires, the amp gave power to the dash, front door and rear door on their...
