HELP HELP HELP! Engine almost stalling, low RPMS!

X2 on what LibertyTC said..... :)

P0123 Could I be causing it?

P0123 Set Condition: This DTC will set if the monitored TPS voltage rises above 4.94 volts for the period of 0.48 seconds. As the TPS is in reality a simple potentiometer, yeah, same as a portable radio ( does anyone still remember...? ), such condition might mean that there's a short (...

CEL on saying TPS... replaced, light still on?

Per FSM.... . . . After three good trips the MIL is extinguished and the Task Manager automatically switches the trip counter to a warm-up cycle counter. DTCs are automatically erased following 40 warm-up cycles if the component does not fail again. . . . Provided, of course, it was...

"New" 04 Liberty Sport, things to look out for?

Just IMHO.... You're not going to regret installing OEM NGK plugs ( copper ). Autolites should be OK, but check they're US made!!! About S.P. wires. Our KJs use ONE coil per cylinder, which are low voltage driven. OE wires and connectors are good quality and will last a long time. Spare...

really hard to start after replacing cam and crank sensors

Sorry, but, don't mean to contradict... You say engine runs smooth while giving out a multiple misfire code ?! How is idle after start-up? Remains the same? Varies a lot? If You can, borrow a good scan tool with live data funcion ( most do ), connect it to the port but don't start the...

really hard to start after replacing cam and crank sensors

OK. We all know we're talking about the 'most likely' cause.... I inferred sensors are OEM.... Failing ECT sensor might be a possible cause. The engine would be getting the wrong 'mixture' thus possibly causing hard starting. But who knows, even TPS going south might not help...

Please help me! Can the t.case switch going bad cause the Jeep to throw out a code?

Sure, and almost certainly it's the P1491 that's turning MIL on (Radiator Fan Relay Circuit). Have wiring checked too. Who knows, maybe just a bad relay and/or some contact cleaner, also on T/C sensor's connector  ...

Please help me! Can the t.case switch going bad cause the Jeep to throw out a code?

Yes, I see the point.... Usually, transmission issues (P07xx) do illuminate the MIL. I guess this DTC is also considered transmission related... Anyway, if the scan tool reports no other code, then You'd be OK, clearly... Again, check Emissions Readiness Status! BDW, automatic or stick?

Please help me! Can the t.case switch going bad cause the Jeep to throw out a code?

According to the manual, these conditions do cause a P0836 DTC: -TRANSFER CASE POSITION SENSOR PLAUSIBILITY -TRANSFER CASE POSITION SENSOR SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO HIGH -TRANSFER CASE POSITION SIGNAL VOLTAGE TOO LOW Unless it's a wiring issue, changing the sensor should solve it ( sort of PITA...

Replacing radiator - anything else while i'm in there?

Osufans, to make a long story short ..... GO OEM!!!!!!!! :whip: When will we all learn the lesson......???!!! Stealership too expensive ??? Then www...... + C/C + UPS = :smokin:

    Rare Color??

Spotted that here, expecially on Calibers. Unluckily changing color here involves some bureaucracy as well.... ( and $$$ ).

    Do strut mounts break down???

Thanks for the clarification tjkj, good to know, so I will be sparing for more important parts ( God knows what... )...

    Do strut mounts break down???

Didn't know if it's worth a new thread, anyway... No, mine aren't broken, just wanted to know if anyone had to change his/hers and/or if they wear out often. As You already know, I'm stashing spare parts.......... Should I keep a pair of those too???

    O2 sensors, opinions

Forgot to say. My KJ only has 2 upstream sensors. PCM won't monitor cat's performance.... No CAFE here....

    O2 sensors, opinions

For what it's worth.... O2 sensors do fail if they feel like to! They might last 40,50k or ...forever. They seem to be thougher these days. If You have one, put a scan tool in live data/record mode, then check if O2 voltage varies between 0.15 and 0.9V. Average should stay at 0.4./0.5V...

    Doomed?

Been there done that.... I know how it feels when your vehicle is disassembled and You need a part :favorites68: Anyway, if You'll be redoing the job, change the o-ring by installing it correctly flush on the inlet, even if it looks ok. BTW, I know, I know, it's 'o-ring' not...

Typical mechanical issues between 110k-140k on '02 Limited??

Opinions here guess are biased...... :D Mine is '06, but saying goes that '02 were well built, and, if automatic, should have the reliable 45RFE tranny. Vehicle is not so old, IMHO, so normal preventive maintenance, like water pump and belt, tensioner, fluids (all!), brake pads, hubs are...

    Doomed?

mmc757 I'm sure i saw a TSB from Chrysler stating that flushes should be avoided. Pan drop is OK. My two cents, how comes tech screwed up the filter ? First that comes to mind is if they used a VLP filter on a non VLP 42RLE or vice versa. Not sure if they'd fit/work anyway. Mine is a non...

    Jack,Scissor,Bottle,HighLift or What?

KJ's chassis has a mark to let You know..... Anyway, as a rule of thumb, near/below welding points... Again, use a rag or wooden block, but beware, this might crack and split open...happened to me once :favorites68:

    New Belt - No AC

Yes, agreed. One should always double check everything, just to rule that out... Guess You mean the blower resistor, blower motor, failure in A/C lines, sudden loss of R-134 gas, pressure switch and so on... I've heard that when going bad, A/C compressors might create ( or already have )...
