Rubber Size
The front has Ironman/Bilstien with two conduit lock nuts and a JBA spacer plate on top.
The back has Ironman/Bilstein with one extra isolater ..
Tires are 245/70R16's on 16x7 Soft 8's. Jeep wishes it rode this good when it was new. As for parking garages I cannot remember the...
Four Corners
I had to wait a while to get the front installed but here are some photo's of the Liberty with both the front and back done. It's off to the shop tomorrow for the first alignment. Then it"s a short trip this weekend for some OHV recreation and a pig roast/Wedding Reception. I will...
New Shocks
I had a Daystar spacer lift at one time, if it is a Daystar Lift and Level you will need new Shocks. They ruin shocks very quickly. By the way you will really like the Ironman Coils.
Good Luck
Did it!
I had a Daystar 2.5" lift on my 2005 KJ and ran 245/70R16's on it Rubbed at full lock both ways, rode like a lumber wagon and sounded like it had arthritis it creaked and groaned all of the time. Other than that it was really great. I simply did not know better, I have just got the...
Slamming/Advice
A lot of people on this site know what they are talking about when it comes to lifting Liberty's. The simple fact is that some parts are made to higher standards and some are just made to get your buck. I originally put a daystar poly spacer on my Liberty just after getting it...
Pic's of Rear
As promised. I have heard that if pictures aren't taken it didn't happen. Well just the rear yesterday. Still has the Daystar front lift for a couple of days. The measurements for the rear after the new lift 22"center cap to the bottom of the flare. Can tell a ride difference with...
UCA's
Got the rear done today, not bad for a old man. Absolutely forgot to measure rear height. Will do in the morning. Will work on getting the front changed from Daystar poly (There I admitted it) to real suspension. The list if anybody would like to compare:
Bilstein extended shocks (JBA)...
Installing Ironman/Bilstein lift this weekend and have to ask a question before I start.
When we put the front together will it be to high to get a good alignment if I use a Al's Top plate and two conduit nuts per side? Or should I wait for the front to settle before putting the conduit nuts...
Uplifted
First I would call a couple of nearby salvage yards for a replacement factory jack for the Liberty.
Home Depot sells a Maasdam brand floor jack, it's a 3ton jack that has a higher lift than most and though it's not pro quality it is more than enough to do the job. And it does not have...
Please give me a quote including shipping to 73034 zip, for the TeraFlex bumpstops. I don't think I can afford the UCA's right now.
Sorry about your bad luck, would hate to lose mine.
Buy your Bilstein's through shockwarehouse.com, great prices and when you checkout put jeepkj in the discount box that's 5% off not much but it all helps. The bilstein's that fit the rear and are longer are actually for a 2002-2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pickup.
I just received my strut mounting kits for the front of my 05 Liberty ordered and delivered in less than a week. This at about half the price of the local parts store including shipping. I have used Rock Auto before and will again.
Nice bit of advertisement on what can be done with lots of money and a full shop. Looks really nice but doesn't do anything for Liberty owner's in the world I live in.
I have had the Weathertech mats in my Liberty for over two years now. It doesn't matter how bad they look after a good weekend out. Just wash them when I wash the Jeep and they look like new. Shop around, I found my front set for a little over $50 delivered. Good Luck!
I have had the same idea, but with no knowledge in the use of these tanks. Can the bottle be used in a horizontal position? The used tanks are fairly inexpensive but have inspection dates on them do these apply when not used for breathing? Looks Good.
My Son's work for Ditch Witch and those are tires that are used on some of the trenching machines. They are using the rubber tracks more often on the new machines.
Sure sounds like a bunch of _ to me. My Liberty has a skid plate over it and that is all that is needed. You can't make everything safe and sanitary and the Liberty is safe enough for me. By the way if you think you need a skid plate go buy one.
Found a new in the box K&N Series 77 cold air intake on Craigslist today that is vehicle specific for the 2004-07 3.7L Liberty. I happily gave the fellow the $35 dollars he wanted for it. It has not been installed, and is complete. By Saturday evening it will be completely installed.
