Coolant leaking, heavy steering, smoke all over the place
some people don't like working on their cars, no problem with that. sucks when dealers over charge for crap, thats the only reason I work on my vehicles. I have taught myself as well, still don't know a lot but the basics are easy to pick up on.- offrovering

Switch Transfer Case?
it is ontop of the transfer case, sorta a bltch to get at, but you can. its is an electrical plug. some here say that you should get it fixed since the pcm thinks you are in part time the torque is changed. Brake pedal lag
just flush them yourself, buy a quart of fluid and just run through master cylinder and through the lines. if that doesnt work, it could be your ABS modulator, which are usually dealer only fixes- offrovering

What is green that could be leaking from my KJ?
my money is still on coolant, someone flushed and filled with green, hopefully they did a nice flush so you dont have coolant mix. the reason it is covering the diff area is the slow drip probably from back running down the block. have you checked coolant in awhile? find out how low you...- offrovering

Dealer Recommended Schedule
just do the factory schedule, they have tested it. fluids, spark plugs, lubrication, and filters changed on a good basis will keep it running unless you have an electrical lemon, which happens from time to time. stupid part time sensor
i wonder how the parameters are really effected in part time 4hi mode, which is what the computer must be thinking, even as the vehicle speeds down the highway in 2hi. I am going to try and get under the thing and pull the sensor, its a pain to get to, sorta blind unless you have the thing...- offrovering

i do that, never have issues. I drained and refilled tcase not long ago, its smooth, the shifter is smooth, its the sensor that goes haywire in the fall/winter. I agree it has something to do with cold temps what else does the sensor control? the tcase is direct linkage, so isnt the sensor...- offrovering
