    I filled both diffs and tcase until fluid was dribbling out, then sealed up. Your second question is hard to answer since it is something you are feeling/comparing. I would have guessed it would have gotten better with new fluid, maybe be sure you have enough in there?

    have you compared IR temp reading to your guage/obdII reading? could be a bad sensor, but it may actually be getting hot. air in the system?

    thats all you can hope for. as long as they inspected them, that is fine, they would be able to tell if they needed to be machined. I would bet you didnt have an overheat but just a faulty gasket or something

    hardly, there are plenty of good yota platforms I am not saying I would do it, but for practicality and cost, why build up a KJ when you could start off with something else cheaper and have half of it ready to go? I have no problem with the IFS on the kj, but my disco axles are much better...

    thats my point, a bigger lift ie longer travel, helps keep wheels on the ground so you gain traction.

    you probably didnt have it all the way in or put it in slowly and it didnt engage. I would bet it is fine now. Still probably want to change the fluid soon, I think it is due at 60k and again at 90k or something around there. tjkj, after 6k miles its black? thats horrible, doesnt seem right

    only thing that raises diffs are taller tires. the way to get taller tires to stuff is longer travel suspension. sometimes the only way to get enough of anything is to start cutting in to things.
