Done? Guess what? I had some downtime today at work and I decided to call Chrysler to get a progress report (I know, I just called yesterday, but I'm anxious, and its a toll-free number, so what the hey?). They said the Jeep is in the KZ phase, which is completed, and awaiting shipment...- jjo

When I got my new '00 Cherokee in December of '99, I was out on the trail by March of '00 (here is a pic from that day). But I'm older now, and offroading isn't the driving force behind me getting a Jeep these days (but that's not to say I still won't do it on occasion).- jjo

My uncle, a retired Chrysler manager, just told me that Libertys and Wranglers have their frames assembed and painted in one factory in Toledo, then taken to another on the other side of town to be trimmed and finished. The time between factories can vary from a few days to up to 2 weeks. I...- jjo

Plural Nonsence
You are mistaken: the store's name is spelled Penney, not Penny. In this case, Penney is the last name of the founder, James Cash Penney, and does not refer to the coin (penny). So the store's name is JC Penney, and the plural form is "JC Penneys." But we digress...- jjo

F As of Jaunary 13, my order is in the "F" stage (painting). The customer service rep said that when its in that phase, it takes 2-3 weeks to complete. I hope she's mistaken. I heard once a Jeep starts to be built, it only takes 3 days from start to end. Maybe she meant it'll take 2-3 weeks...- jjo

Plural Nonsence
Liberties is the proper spelling, but I bet MS Word is unaware that in this case, Liberty is referring to a proper name, in which case you'd simply add an 's' to pluralize it. As in the sentence, "There are two JC Penneys within 10 miles of each other." You wouldn't spell it "JC Penneies."...- jjo

Grammar and proper punctuation is one of my pet peeves (I know, that's strange). I was wondering ... What is the proper plural version of "Liberty?" Libertys? Liberties? I know for sure its not “Liberty’s” since we’re not referring to the possessive form. Liberties is the proper version...- jjo

Wow, Europe. I'm sure they have a warehouse full of pre-made here in the States, but I'd hate to be the one who ordered a CRD just when they ran-out and had to get more shipped.- jjo

I'm no hero, so there's no additional rebate for me. But actually, I'm getting an employee price (EP) on my purchase due to a relative of mine being a retired Chrysler manager in Detroit, so my price is pretty much set in stone (there's a special "EP" price on the invoice...that's what I get).- jjo

Another $500 ... The cash allowance went from $1000 (when I ordered it) to $1500 this month. The dealer said I'd get any better incentives that may come down the pike. So, there's another $500 savings. Guess there's some benefit to waiting...- jjo
