2004 Fog Bulb # - Reading Dim and Yellow!

There is an article over on Huseyins' Jeep Projects site about how to modify type 9005 bulbs to go in the older style fog lights - basically you just trim one tab so that they fit in the opening and you are good to go. I've had some 9005s in my fogs for over a year and they are great!

    Aftermarket UCA's

The Al's arms are a bit longer than stock, making it possible to align the front after a lift and letting the arm flex without contacting the steering knuckle at full droop.. They also have Moog balljoints with grease fittings so you can add grease (gasp!) to the joint. Rocky Road has an upper...

    PATHFINDER A\T from discount tire

Down Maricopa way (south of the Phoenix metro area). Done quite a bit of stuff out on the rocks and dirt, not so much wet or snow since those opportunities are few and far between down here.

    PATHFINDER A\T from discount tire

Ran a set of those for a couple of years before I got my BFGs. Traction was good on dry, never had much of a chance to check the wet traction here in the desert. My only problem was they seemed to wear down rather quickly, I think I had not quite 30k on them when I got rid of them, quite a bit...

    Thanks to everyone who contributes!

That's also what you need to do on a KJ - extend all breathers as high as possible to offset the chance of water getting in where it shouldn't be. And yes changing fluids would be a good idea if you hadn't done the breather extensions yet.

Problem with '06 Renegade ticking sound, just got the car on Saturday

So that's what that noise is I hear from under there? I usually do the most recommended thing on the forum and 'turn up the radio' :D

    I sro Ronerree..

Ha ha Chris, when I first saw the title of your thread all I could think of was the Kim Jong Il puppet from 'Team America', but I just can't picture you as a pudgy little tin-pot dictator :D Anyway I hope you find some of your mates soon, might try looking over on AJOR for them (reminds me I...

    2004 Horn Relay Location

Try this: You'll need to pull down the knee bolster (center section under the steering wheel column) in order to get to them, they are inside the left end of the dash. For reference you can see the door handle and the top of the speaker in the drivers door on the left side of the pic. This...

    CB Antenna Prob

No, not Fry's, nooooooooooo! j/k, I'm a regular at the Tempe store. Yes having a large portion of the antenna located near the body metal can throw the SWR off, if you can get it mounted a bit higher as suggested you might have better luck. In particular see if you can get it high enough to...

    Added LEDs under the hood

Interesting idea. I think if I was going to do that I'd just put a strip down either side of the hood for those times when you have to work on the Jeep on a dark night run :)

You can only laugh if you offer advice.

It looks like there is one screw on the glass and two on the body, they appear to be a T-20 torx head (or whatever size torx fits the screws on the front grille).

    Hows your cooling system?

No they do not. My '03 has an external trans cooler and the original radiator did not have any built-in cooling for the trans. The new radiator I just put in it does have the connections for the internal trans cooler but I'm not planning on doing anything with it. Also check your cooling...

    Gear Shift Bulb

Unfortunately you do have to remove the center console to replace the bulb - a half-hour of work to replace a $2 rice-grain bulb  (OK I think it was actually $2 for a pair of them). Here is a diagram of what you'll be looking for when you get the console off: I had a bit of a time...

    Console swap?

Marlon did just that - swapped an older unit into his 2005 CRD. Might do a search to see if you can find his posts about it. IIRC it wasn't too difficult.

I didn't think Dave did anything in moderation... :p I'd say congrats but I know better ;)

    Wiring melting

Wow that diagram looks familiar... :p I agree with Jeepster, for most situations where you want to be able to turn the lights on at any time tapping the 'sense' (green) wire to the park lamps is a good idea - that way when the BCM turns the lights off the auxiliary lights will go off as well...

    weird bump when stopping...

Sounds like the typical driveline lash that the KJs are prone to. From what you've posted I'd say it's nothing to worry about.
