I disconnected my UCA at the ball joint when I installed my Daystar lift. It allowed the LCA to droop more so it was easier getting the strut assembly installed. I don't think I'd want to remove the LCA but maybe someone can explain why it would be preferable?
Shoulda said 'Gee you tell me, you were the last one to handle them' laugh.gif
This is actually the second story like this I've seen in the past couple of days. Sad to think of all the poor little brain cells going to waste in some peoples' heads
OK, so you installed an aftermarket intake on your Jeep and used the Amsoil filter instead of the K&N because you wanted to ensure better filtering, then noticed the dust on the 'clean' side of the intake and deduced that the filter was at fault. How did you come by this conclusion? Did you...
Yep, my bad for moving ;) Here is one that should be around for a while:

If that one goes away you can try this one:

If you're referring to a 2M or 70cm handheld (or dual-band unit) then I don't see a problem with that; it's what my first mobile rig was until I could get the funds to upgrade to a full-on mobile unit with more power. Just make sure you get an antenna with decent gain to help your signal get...
Why thank you sir! After the day I just had that'll come in mighty handy! :D
EDIT: I just noticed that was posted on my birthday too! And I didn't even see it then :(
Let me get back to ya ;)
Found this on another site but it states that it is for international markets only. You might find a dealer who will do it since you live in an area where they use snow tires but I'm not 100% sure that is the case.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System Deactivation TSB.
Easy fix, just remove the bolt and place a fender washer or two in where the top of the shock mounts to add some width to the top of the shock, then the bolt will be able to tighten down on it.
Welp you just jinxed yerself, tomorrow when you go to start it for the trip to the store it will refuse to start :p
The one that got me was the guy complaining that the 'p' in the Jeep logo on his steering wheel popped out
I've got an '03 with over 90K on it and the only outright mechanical issues I have had are the LBJ recall and a torn boot on the front propeller shaft (out of warranty), which I replaced with a used unit from a local yard for $90. I've had some other minor things go wrong but those were the...
If you get the Mopar skids they will come with the required hardware. The engine skid is the only one that has the nuts already in the frames, the rest need nut-serts (nut inserts) or something else to attach them. Not sure if any of the aftermarket companies supply those or if they are even...
Um, yeah. Good thing I wasn't trying to lay on it as the poor thing would have imploded :p
Rear swaybar can be a bit of a pain to get out (at least mine was) but you'll probably never notice that it's gone on highway - off highway you'll see more flex :D
My vote would be skids. It doesn't matter how high you go or how gnarly your tires are, all it takes is coming down hard on one high spot to ruin your day:
And this was on a KJ with an SFA conversion (around 8" of lift).
