    OME lift

There is another issue... It seems to be near impossible find Rancho's here (17505 or 17004)... so I'm stuck (for now) with OME's NS130-NS131 (front) / NS132 (rear) shocks... The NS132L isn't available here (I know why)... Are they really that bad?... I meaning the harsh ride... What happen...

    42RLE Quirks?

I beg to differ... The reason I finally didn't buy a 2001 XJ Classic was b/c they have an AW-4... I think they aren't precisely good transmissions... For an example, read this Cheers! :)

Would you buy your KJ again???

Yes I definitively would! :) And it would be again a '03 or a '04... I like the rear disk brakes with ABS and I like the look of the '02-'04... It would be nice have a 45RFE but I think the 42RLE it's just fine... Oh! and it has to be a Limited, with Select Trac and light taupe leather... The...

    OME lift

But if I want to level (assuming 1 or 2 rear iso's) without clevis anyway... what combination do I need? Rusty's front plate + Daystar front strut mount or Daystar Front leveling kit (1,5'') or none of them? Cheers :)

    Your KJ's Name!

Here, in my country, everybody calls "jeep" to any 4x4-SUV-ish vehicle... You see lots of Suzuki Vitara and other 4x4 with spare tire covers which reads "JEEP"... Even more... If you want to drive a car in Chile, the car must have an insurance policy in case you hurt somebody (is mandatory...

    OME lift

Since ARB recently opened a store in my city, now I can go for an OME lift... :D I still have some questions... Suppose I go for an OME/rancho lift and I want to level up, but I don't want to do a clevis lift... ¿What options do I have and how many inches of lift may I expect? OME/Rancho =...

    Your MPGS

My usual city mileage is 12-13mpg... :( I live in the downtown of a very heavy traffic city and I do very short trips... My KJ has a roof mount for a tandem bicycle (soon it will have a kayak mount for a tandem kayak :) ), has the skid plate group and I always carry my 48'' farm jack under the...

    Steering wheel lock

Maybe someone finds useful this tip... My user manual states that only a manual transmission equipped KJ may include a steering wheel lock... I have an auto, so I'd never tried the directions to lock it... Until one day y left the steering wheel with a 180° rotation (so the word Jeep was...

    Power steering fluid

Read it again... you are getting it wrong... The TSB says that if you have a KJ between 2002-2004 (among other vehicles) you can put ATF+4 without any issues, if you previously flush the PS system professionally (since they are saying that you can't top off with different fluids)... They are...

    Lock front or rear

Full-time AWD, Torsen based diffs (front and rear) and a lockable center diff was the standard setup for a Hummer H1... I don't think that GM (despite the things that everyone knows about them) designed a vehicle that eats front tires intentionally... Troy... do you know for...

    Lock front or rear

Wow... the magic of time traveling... in those good old days, Troy was approving the use of DTT up font with a 242 t-case... :D Cheers! :)

OK Now I'm Moving to China El Liberty!

Don't get me wrong... I just pointed at the "El Liberty" has 8 slots instead the 7 of the original KJ model... I'm not saying nothing about a Jeep must have 7 slots to be considered as a proper Jeep... See?... The previous generations of ZJ, XJ or WJ just has nothing to do with my comment...

    Power steering fluid

03'-> MOPAR PS Fluid... 04'+-> ATF+4 In a 03' KJ you must use MOPAR Power Steering Fluid for topping off... If the system is professionaly flushed, you can start using ATF+4... MOPAR PS Fluid is ambar when is new (it can turn light brown when it's used)... 04'+ KJs come from factory...

    Computer Code: P0551

Well... maybe I would start to helping myself :D The thing which is failing is the number 7 (P/N: 04606045)... It's a switch that senses the pressure of the hydraulic fluid which reflects how hard it is working (e.g. like when turning at low speed or when stopped). The switch is...

    Computer Code: P0551

Hi fellas :) My KJ is showing the code P0551... according here it would be "The power steering switch may not be working. (Neons: high pressure is showing up at high speed)" It only shows at highway speeds... never in town driving... Also I've been feeling the steering wheel a little...
