    Yeah, I agree. I have very little money tied up in these asian ones, so am not terribly concerned. If they give up in a year or two, I will look for the US-made ones, but given the costs of manufacturing here, I wonder how good such inexpensive items are likely to be.

    Wish I had found those before ordering my spiffy chinese ones. OTOH, looking at the pictures of the Strong Arm ones, they look eerily like the chinese ones. I wonder if the chinese are THAT good at copying or if those are really US made.

    Excellent write-up! There is also a spot in the firewall where you can sneak the wires through with some other stuff passing through. It has been a while, but I want to say it is below the master cylinder.

    I recall reading somewhere years ago (wish I could recall where!) that around 62 was when it was supposed to lock up. I kid you not. Since reading that, I often will try to notice when it happens on my 2002. It is usually right around there. So, I think yours is behaving as designed.

    Yeah, I didn't feel like I was risking a whole lot. They work great, though. I can hit the rear window button on the remote as I approach and it pops right open.
