evic with sunroof control
My 02 has a switch to close the sunroof, a switch to automatically open the sunroof, and a button in the center of said switches to open the vent--to close the vent you have to use the same switch you used to close the sunroof. My first Jeep! And some questions :)
The noise due to the cold start has something to do with the power steering, mine does it every winter. Assuming I'm thinking of the same sound--howling/whistling/buzzing sort of thing that sounds like it's coming from the dash? Idle problem, mabey???
Mine does the same thing but it's never caused me any real problems, knock on wood...so maybe the old, "if it's not broke, don't fix it," idea comes into play here? Unless it's stalling out on you, that is...- KJ zGal

How do you get the chrome looking plastic rivets off the Renegade flares?
But they come loose! Mine are loose and I can't seem to get them back on tight...one of them it worked just spinning it for a while and with a little push, but the others don't seem to work that way. If you want to paint them black...can't you just paint the tops of them, let it dry, spin them...- KJ zGal

That's exactly what happened with our Ranger when the alternator went. If you take it over to an advance auto place they can do the battery check for you for free. My KJ has a 2.5 Amp drain on the battery (if I remember right) that I've never been able to pinpoint the source of, but it hasn't...- KJ zGal

Found out today...
The problem with the Jeep is thankfully not the shift fork. Mechanic called me today and told me it was a problem with the clutch, the master cylinder I think he said, and it'll run me about $432.55 for parts + labor--lovely. Anyway, I'm hoping this corrects the problem, and we don't find out...- KJ zGal

This is what my neighboor thinks!!
I like the second commercial better than the first, but they're both good. I found it ironic today that I had to take the Ranger through the ditch beside my driveway to get onto the road while the Jeep sat on the pavement though. Trading places? Hmm.- KJ zGal

Clutch issues...
Guess I have to wait until Monday to hear the diagnosis, but now that I've done some research, I'm thinking something with the shift fork. Hopefully it's just something that is loose and can be retightened...if not, I may need to look for a salvage vehicle and haul the thing to my uncle's shop...- KJ zGal

Well I did manage to get it into reverse to get it back up the driveway before AAA came to get it, and it would go into 2nd, 5th, and 4th gears, but 3rd and 1st seem to be the issues. High mileage club
2002 with 115k, going on 116k in the next couple of days. Replaced the front rotors and brakes, stock stereo died and needed replacing as well, need to fix a light behind the tachometer, new battery, spark plugs, serpentine belt, and the regular oil changes and tire rotations.
