Bug Shield install question
The Jeep unit has you slide the shield between the hood and seal. Their only optionis to use the screws, but they are not self tapping. Had to do some drilling. Can't tell you for sure on the one you have. Jeep's instructions weren't real clear either.- DougBenn

Antenna Removal - It's stuck on there pretty good...
Especially with how this antenna is mounted it will be removed quickly and violently once it gets wrapped around the brushes or pads. I would remove it and replace with a "rubber ducky"(oops, my bad for those of you who saw the original typo, sorry.) type if you insist on using those types...- DougBenn

There are some direct replacements available for the standard sockets for stop/turn/tail, parking lights, etc. I suggest your local Auto Parts retailer or looking for what suits you on the internet. Question for CRD Owners
Ok, that and the fact it would be a little too much for the front suspension currently and not practical, but would it get up and go! Had a 4.7 in my 01 Durango and loved it. I got avg 15mpg in town and 18mpg on the highway out of my 4.7 with 79,000 miles on it. No problems and a strong running...- DougBenn

Anyone know how the center console attaches?
Glad you found the problem, sorry it's not an easy fix though. Hope your dealings with the dealership go ok. I am lucky in that fact a close friend of mine is a parts manager at my dealership, He always checks on my stuff if it's in the shop. I also have some access to the shop others don't...- DougBenn

Anyone know how the center console attaches?
Make them fix it. Let them know that you do pay attention to the details, even thought not everyone does. I would make it very clear what you exect and that it fit fine before the replaement of the shifter. BTW-That's why you have a warranty and what they get paid for.- DougBenn

That one has great reviews on a few sites, also does not requite external power to it. Stupid Dodge antenna connectors though, I have to buy 2 adapter cables to connect it. But gonna go get one from Circuit city this weekend. Thanks for the heads up on that unit.- DougBenn

I called Crutchfield this morning. Looks like my receiver has a bad FM modulator. :-s They are sending a new unit, will see how it works out. If no better, I will be picking up a modulator. Yeah I am, after looking at your pics again I se that we do have the same OEM head unit. I removed mine and there are truly no aux inputs on the back. Argggh! I do use the Changed so that's not an option. Looks like inline FM modulation to fix my issue for now. Thanks, for the reply.- DougBenn
