    What's worse than the diffs getting wet is the transmission breather (Auto) sucking in water. This is sure death for a slushbox. The axle diff vents should be elevated via a hose, but still could use extending.

    Some metal like you are describing is considered "normal". If there are any larger chunks then I would be concerned.

    Oh yeah, Jets and birds don't mix. As a former aircraft mechanic I have seen the devastation of those little birdies first hand. Uuuuggggghhhh!

    Hit a bird

    I hit a turkey @ 70 MPH one time in an S10 work truck. Took flight as I approached and I saw it out of the corner of my eye as I hit it. Ended up impacting the center of the windshield and also caved the roof in. Sounded like a bomb went off inside the cab. I was covered in glass and half deaf.

    I really liked them, but not the longevity I got out of them. Like everything else, some fail some don't. I wondered if my alternator didn't have a regulator issue and cause the bulb issues at first, but I haven't had any other electrical issues, so I don't think so.

    I had 1 Silverstar go about 6 months after I put them in. I still have 1 in the box. Kinda pissed me off, too much money to just have one fail like that. I used latex gloves and all to ensure the bulb was not touched, but nooooooo!!! LOL!

    I used the plug in direct swap LEDs , I picked them up at Advanced Auto in the rice burner tweaker section. I think they ran about 17.00 for the pair. I didn't have time to go online , but could have found better ones probably cheaper on ledtronics.com or elsewhere. I don't remember what...

    Yeah, me too. But the other 05 I had also went through bulbs quickly as well in my opinion. Hmmm.

    Anyone else have a problem with going through bulbs about every 8-12 months? I finally went to the LED 3157s and so far so good. No other problems and still have never had an issue with the rest of the Libby other than that.

    water pump

    My wifes 05 KJ with 500 miles puked it's water pump. They are crap from the get go. The seals are failing due to the heat from the engine. Now my 05 hasn't had any probs yet, but I keep a close eye on it.
