    Whats your favorite strut

OME struts will be a good choice, they also last a long time.

    Diesel fuel conditioners

Our european engine was designed for ultra low sulphur engines and has the hardened parts. I've seen good longevity reports about the Amsoil diesel additive, pumps last a lot longer on the older diesel designs with use. Haven't heard anything on the newer pumps and performance changes weren't...

    Skid plates

The driver's side rear bolt holes don't match on the earlier rigs if I remember right the others are a perfect match. It will be an easy fix for the other bolt, either drill the hole to match the existing hole on add a hole in the cross member to match the existing hole.

    Front Differential Problem

Bearings and seals can be bad at anytime, they usually let themselves be known fairly quickly or your good to go for a good long time. Remember the front end isn't built by Jeep they buy it from another source like all the manufacturers do. The seals aren't built by the front end manufacturer...

    Aftermarket Seats?

Can't imagine how a website store could possible know everything about you and you size and than recommend the right seat and warn you of any slider problems. That's what a face to face in a brick and mortar store is for, and you will get the right color, as money doesn't cross the counter till...

    finally, tires arrived

Aren't we talking about Nokian Vatiivas? I have the 245/70X16 tires on stock Sport alloys, paid $440 out the door mounted, balanced, free flat repair and rotation, mileage warranty last year. Really enjoy them, great in snow, nice and quiet, more sipes than any other tire of it's type I've ever...

    finally, tires arrived

I have the 245/70s and didn't notice anything slick on the tires when I bought them over a year ago. They hooked up way better on all surfaces than the stockers on my '05 Sport CRD from the first moment. Have had them on and off road in all conditions, I love them. I routinely go into corners...

    NSG370 6 speed manual

It's been discussed before. No one wants to touch having to get the special manual tranny computer module to interface with the VM's engine module. No one knows if the VM module we use is the same as Europe and if a reflash is available.

    Are mud tires bigger?

I'm running 245/70s with zero mods to the rig and zero rubbing even flexed.

    Aftermarket air filter

Also be advised the intake/exhaust upgrade has been done and tested on a dyno on the Libs, no much improvement there. Something like 2 hp and 4 ft lbs of torque. Tests were done by 4WD & SUV magazine last year. I'm gettting the Amsoil filter for it's filtering quality/reuse.

    235/85/16 on 3" lift

Nothing major, just light trimming and a pinch weld bend over. Might need to move windshield washer bottle.

    TOTAL capacity for 45RFE?

I believe a full fill was 14 qts on my CRD.

Has anyone here installed Rusty's 2.5" Spacer Lift?

Tony, The CRD Frankenlift or the slightly shorter OME lift don't give the extreme CV angles you saw in the pics. One reason, our engine/frontend runs a little lower in the body. The second, the lift isn't 2.5 inches plus like the gas rigs. A lift that high is really a pain to put in our rig...

    2007 Liberty & New Boat

Tranny coolers are easy, near fool proof. Instructions are in the box. Basiacally the outlet from the original cooler is plumbed into the inlet of the new aux cooler and that cooler's outlet is hooked to the line back to the tranny. Simple. Now you'll probably ask which is the original cooler's...

    Changing speedo ratio

It can be done, they just need the wheel rotations per mile to recalibrate the computer. Easy to do. 15 minutes tops.

    Differential Covers and Guards

I've seen a few covers and even the deepest/finniest one I've seen have about 1/2 inch clearance.

    Yet more Frankenlift questions

    1. Yes 2. The OME shocks dampen a little better, especially the back, and last longer. 3. Yep. Shock will be your stop if you don't install one. Shocks don't like that. 4.I'd change them if you have a problem later on. 5.Yep, it depends on whether you flex the front end wheelin' or just mall...

    Doing a “mini-lift” questions…

Look under your rig at the clevis and strut. How much of that space do you think is safe to give up before your in trouble? Springs are springs, you aren't changing them any just making them longer in their perches. It takes the same amount of spring to hold up the rig so the ride is the same...

    CRD Front End Lift Issues?

They look like Firestone Desination M/Ts to me, a great tire.

    skyjacker kit

There is only a little difference between the 75s and 70s, maybe 1/2 inch so it's not real noticable.
