DIY LED spot light build
LED there be light! Excuse the corny title, but I'm super chuffed to get them all lit up. Took a while, but I solved the shorts. My modifications to the LED screw holes caused some shorts... This is with all LEDs connected in series for testing with the 220v power supply: et voila... -

I've had a couple of 12mpg tanks. I average about 15 (70% city) over the last 25 tanks. My best ever was about 20 - 100% freeway. Renegade (Jeep Liberty) | Fuelly All stock. It's due for a service, so maybe it's just in need of some fresh fluids Apparently the lightbar drops mpg a little, but...- iamweasel

DIY LED spot light build
I found today that the LEDs actually all work - it was my dodgy soldering that stopped some from lighting up. I rewired them to three-in-series (4 strings of three LEDs) and I'm still struggling with shorts when the LEDs are screwed down. The star shaped circuit board they are on is aluminium... -

Thanks Birdman. I mad a torch with one of these LEDs and it's incredibly bright! I can't wait to see what 12 look like :icon_twisted: I'm also gonna prototype a projector LED light for a possible headlight repalcement -

Part 2 I had to make a second modification to the optics holders to make space for the wires when when the LEDS are wired up. I made a hole in opposite ends of the optics (the grey one between the heatsinks) You can also see some pieces of wire I cut for connecting up the LEDs Wiring... -

Anyone rewire speakers?
Thanks for the heads up re. the adapters. The shop I'm gonna buy the speakers from sells adapters for R160 ($20ish) a pair. I'd like to get Infinities, but they're too pricey here in SA. My next choice was JBL or Alpine which I've used previously and liked, but I've found a cheaper brand which...- iamweasel

Anyone rewire speakers?
Did the 6.5" pioneers fit fine in the front and rear? I heard you'd need an adapter because the oem speakers are 6. 75" I'm about buy F&R splits and install an amp and sub I've had in a cupboard for a while. Hopefully i won't need an adapter...- iamweasel
