    Reminder-Torque Your Lugs!

I almost found out the hard way myself. Quite a few years ago I did my standard swap from winter rims/tires to summer rims/tires. I must have been in a hurry or something, but didn't torque down the rear passenger lugs. I drove it for 3 miles, just a road test to my brother's house. When I...

Finally got the new tires on!

So you really like those tires on snow? I'm in the market myself, and one of my top criteria is great traction in snow. I live in MN and usually end up buying tires in the fall, plus ice fishing and snowmobiling are my main hobbies so I need tires that will support that. I'm looking to try...

    Possible shift shaft seal leak??

Sorry I haven't posted back, I cancelled our internet and am going to try and use my phone for such needs. We'll see how that goes, trying to save a buck. Thanks for the input, it sounds like it will be too complicated for me to attempt. The local dealer looked at it tonight and is that...

    trailer hitch bolts

I didn't have to do any tapping on my 07. I did however have trouble threading them with the bolt, lots of debris in there. I just cleaned them out real well with some cleaner and a pipe brush deal. Pushed it in and twisted, bolts went in easy after that.

    Possible shift shaft seal leak??

I have a 2007 Liberty Sport w/part time 4wd. I recently changed the fluids on the diffs and transfer case of my Liberty. When I changed the TC I noticed there was some oil built up, looked like a slow leak somewhere. I wasn't sure where but it was slow enough to not leave spots in the garage...

Oil filter issue at Valvoline IOC

Nothing like cutting a few corners. Will using a different size filter make a difference? I quit going to those place unless absolute necessary, like for tranny flushes and coolant flushes. I don't have the means to do larger jobs like that and it's just easier for the shop to deal with it...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

I know around here it is a little unique. Most of the Liberties around here either have the unpainted (gray) fascia/flares and painted grill or painted fascia/flares with chrome grill. I can't drive a vehicle long before I start adding things to it...soon as things start happening I'll update.

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

Interesting. The seats are cloth, gray pattern of sorts in the middle of the seat and backrest. There is no Jeep embroidery. My wife leased this brand new from the dealer, and we bought out the lease. Window sticker says 2007 Model Year Liberty Sport 4x4. Under optional equipment it has...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

Here area few pictures. When my wife bought it they told us it was a Limited. I just assumed it was because of the fogs and the color keyed bumpers/flares. Today when poking around I found the window sticker....turns out it is a Liberty Sport 4x4. It just has a package that ups the wheels...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

I am curious what such an item would cost...you could PM me if you don't want to post. I'd be very interested right now if I didn't have to get new tires on first. It has 65k on the factory Good/Years, they need to be replaced. I have to sell the black wheels/tires from the Durango first...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

I know it's been awhile but here is an update. This week we thought we'd try to find a deal again to unload the Durango. My wife was looking at some cheaper SUV's that were FWD. I thought it was pointless and suggested to save more money we should just look at a car. We ended up trading in...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

Based on what I read here I know I can find one a few thousand less. I don't need a Renegade either...I can add stuff later that look and may even function better. I've been looking in other cities, up to 200 miles away and already found a couple I'd like to know more about. We like taking...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

Well, got a call from the dealer today and no deal. They can't seem to find a bank that is willing to loan me the money. One year of financial bad luck and it follows you forever! They told me I needed to have $5-$6000 cash down!! What a bummer. Thanks for all your input though, it will...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

HJ, I'm about 45 miles west of Minneapolis. I did much more looking around today at many dealers websites in this area. This seems to be the going price for any Liberty, +/- 20k miles and many aren't as equipped or have what I want. If I were to spend $9k on a Sport by the time I upgraded it...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

That's me! I recognize your name, that's cool you saw and recognized me! It's not a steal by any means, your right. But I figure it's a fair price, and I don't think I could get $10k if I sold the Durango myself. It has some hail damage and a nice dent/hole in the tailgate from when I backed...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

That model pictured is 2004, it's the one I looked at today. I've only looking around for about a week. The majority of the Liberty's in the $8,000 price range are mainly 02's with over 130,000 miles and/or are the sport models, not quite what I'm looking for. There are quite a few 03's to...

About to buy a Renegade..good price?

Some things have changed and it's time I get out of my current vehicle and into something that makes more sense. I've liked how the Renegades looked since I saw one when they first come out, and my wife has owned an 07 Liberty Limited for a few years now so I've had the chance to get to know...
