Usually Mobil 1 but sometimes Pennzoil. Occasionally I'll cheap out and use the Walmart full syth. Always Napa gold or Wix. I buy the Wix 10 at a time from RockAuto. OCI is 3-4k.
Just got the gates 38167 from Rock Auto today for my 02. Looks identical to what I believe is the original which has over 160k on it. Its a 90mm smooth steel / 76mm grooved. Current belt is only about 5k old.
We did PONY nationals thru 14U then ASA 16 and several years at 18. Usually Chattanooga, or Bristol TN or Salem VA. She graduated HS this year and will be off to (hopefully) play in college next year. BUT School first, softball second.
First time I saw the knee savers I thought to myself I...
I was in OKC for the WCWS in '10. Daughter was playing in a 14U Triple crown tourney in conjunction with the series. I was helping coach. What a blast. They came in third out of 50 teams and we got to see a whole lot of the college games. I'm an old baseball catcher myself. I've got the screwed...
Hope you're feeling better. When mine goes went it felt like crap and then like nothing happened when I popped it back in place.
I shouldn't complain about my ER visit. I went a few years back when I had the old H1N1 and don't really remember about 4 days of my life. If my wife didn't get me...
I've tried about 5 different brands of premium pads and a variety of premium rotors too. They all worked great but all squealed just before complete stop. If your squeal isn't when stopping then maybe not enough caliper grease on the slides or calipers are sticking a bit.
The EBCs (green) were...
Check your battery and the connections. Weak battery or corroded connections will cause all kinds of gremlins to appear. I've had the light show due to this.
Almost everything you need if you can wait for shipping:
RockAuto Parts Catalog
They have the different size tensioners and belts listed. Check your current belt for brand and number (should be on the belt somewhere).
Never drove off with mine on either, and I use mine often since I'm used to driving a manual although my KJ is not. Mine was awful when I first got it. Had to really pull to the limit for it to hold but after I replaced everything back there it works great. Of course mines an 02 so the big old...
First thing I'd do is buy an inexpensive code reader that allow you to read and clear codes. Usually can get one for 30 bucks or so. Unless you clear a code the CEL will remain on for a period of time even if not active. What are the codes now? Same? I'd fix the connectors. I wouldn't trust...
Good point. I think the last time I did one I jammed a screwdriver into a rotor fin and wedged it against the caliper or caliper bracket. Seemed to work fine.
Funny, I don't have a basement.:laughing1:
I have a garage technically but I don't get to use it. The wife and older daughter use it. My KJ is usually in the muddy yard but she likes it out there in the mud.
