Usually Mobil 1 but sometimes Pennzoil. Occasionally I'll cheap out and use the Walmart full syth. Always Napa gold or Wix. I buy the Wix 10 at a time from RockAuto. OCI is 3-4k.- 02blue

Which belt tensioner?
Just got the gates 38167 from Rock Auto today for my 02. Looks identical to what I believe is the original which has over 160k on it. Its a 90mm smooth steel / 76mm grooved. Current belt is only about 5k old.- 02blue

I was in OKC for the WCWS in '10. Daughter was playing in a 14U Triple crown tourney in conjunction with the series. I was helping coach. What a blast. I've tried about 5 different brands of premium pads and a variety of premium rotors too. They all worked great but all squealed just before complete stop. Never drove off with mine on either, and I use mine often since I'm used to driving a manual although my KJ is not. Mine was awful when I first got it. Misfire Mystery
First thing I'd do is buy an inexpensive code reader that allow you to read and clear codes. Usually can get one for 30 bucks or so. Unless you clear a code the CEL will remain on for a period of time even if not active. What are the codes now? Same? I'd fix the connectors. I wouldn't trust...- 02blue

Good point. I think the last time I did one I jammed a screwdriver into a rotor fin and wedged it against the caliper or caliper bracket. Seemed to work fine.- 02blue
