OK things are starting to make sense now. So if I went with the long travel OME rear shocks, what is required to lift 3"? I understand that I will need bump stops on the rear. On the front will I need spacers to make it the same height as the rear?
Thanks. Those part #'s helped some. One question though. I noticed the part # for the Durango shocks that you gave me is for a 2003 Durango. The 2005 Durango uses a different # than the 2003. Will the '05 ones be required for my '05 Liberty?
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm in Sask so I don't think it matters which one of those I order from.
One thing I am confused on is the type of shocks to go with. Brand name I don't care about as long as it is a good shock. I'm not sure if I need regular liberty shocks or what. I have read...
I live in Canada. Where is the best place to get OME springs and some good shocks for my 2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7l? My current OEM suspension is almost in need of replacement and in the near future I would like to replace it with something decent.
Thanks.
I have an '05 with out ESP and got a P0573 in October when I got stuck in some mud. I tried gently rocking the jeep out of the mud and after about 3 or 4 times the CEL came on with a P0573. I cleared the code by disconnecting the battery and it hasn't come back since.
I've been having good luck with my Motomaster Eliminator battery from Candian Tire. I think it has 875CCA. My Jeep will start easily when it's -35'C and not even plugged in. The only thing I hate is the posts tend to corrode quite frequently.
Canadian Tire also has a "Spiral Grid" AGM...
I don't have a CRD but my Liberty squeals when the ambient temp is colder than -20'C. It only squeals for a second or to. In my case, it is a relay making the noise. Maybe you have a bad relay?
Just went out and tested this. You're right, and I'm actually quite surprised at how well it accelerated. Going 45-55 and dropping down to 2nd gives nice acceleration. Try giving it 2/3 throttle when going 62-65mph and you'll see what I mean by crappy acceleration. I'm thinking 62mph (or...
Does anybody have any opinions on this? http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_liberty_3.html
A guy I know has a rough country lift on his cheroke and he says they are a great kit. Just looking at the picture for the liberty kit makes me think "e-bay special" crap.
My '05 is the same way as your Jeep. When going 100kph on freeway and I press the gas 2/3 of the way, the jeep downshifts to 2nd, rpms jump to 5k and it doesn't throw you back like you think it would. I honestly think I get better acceleration if I don't push so hard on the gas and only...
Interesting thread. It looks like I have been overfilling mine for the past 3 years. I put in 5 litres, not 4.7. It thought 4.7 was without filter. When I put in 4.7 then start the Jeep (then let it sit of course), the level on the dipstick is below the full mark. Once I top up to 5 litres...
Where do you have your amp grounded to? I was going to run a direct ground to the battery but I don't feel like drilling a hole in the firewall for an additional run of 1/0. If I can find a better spot to ground in the back then I'll go with that. I'm currently grounded underneath the velcro...
Never mind. I take back my statement that the OE alternator could in fact have a regulator.
DESCRIPTION
The Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) is not a separate component. It is actually a voltage regulat- ing circuit located within the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The EVR is not...
From what I understand by reading the FSM, all the PCM does is control when the alternator charges. It controls some sort of ground to stop/start charging. When the battery is a certain temp and when voltage is a certain #, the PCM activates this ground and causes the alternator to charge the...
Mine has a part # of 53013905AA. Lettering is white, not blue. Maybe EPDM cracks in extreme cold temperatures? I'm guessing it's our harsh Canadian winters that's causing it to crack.
The old belt said MOPAR on it in blue letters. I think the mopar logo was also there. New belt is a gates...at least that is what napa told me. The package said napa on it with no mention of gates.
