I was running an eclipse cd5030, alpine type r front components, stock rear, re audio xxx 15" in a 6.0 cubic foot box @ 26hz, rf t40001bd mono amp, rf t4004 4 channel bridged to 2 running the fronts, 2 exide orbital agm batteries in the back and 1 motomaster agm up front.
Pulled out the...
That's close to what I get for fuel mileage in the winter. When it's around -30 I'm lucky to get 280km per tank (all city). I run full synthetic 0w30. I'm sure the drop in mileage is from the winter blend gas. Once spring rolls around I'm back to high 400's (all city) per tank.
I hate to revive an old thread but I had the exact same thing happen today. I thought it was going to be colder this morning (turned out to be only -6'C) and plugged in the jeep last night. I now have a CEL with a P0116 code. I'll see if the code eventually goes away.
I have the exact same thing with my 2005. I get the clunk when accelerating VERY slowly and it shifts in to 2nd. I also sometimes get the same clunk if I give it too much gas too quickly when taking off from a stop. I have also gotten the clunk when coasting from a high speed to a slow speed...
Brake callipers could be sticking and causing the rotors to warp. I had this happen. It took 3 sets of rotors before the dealer finally figured it out.
I've had this very thing happen a few times in the 4 years I've owned my Jeep. It happens when I go in to a store for a few minutes. I go to start the jeep and it stalls out right after it starts. It doesn't sputter or anything. It's as if the ignition was turned off. If I go to start it...
I was removing my head unit from my jeep. The yellow wire (12 v constant) came undone and ground out for a split second. There was a click sound and since then things aren't working right. When I turn the jeep off the fuel gauge doesn't fall to empty. The locks don't work unless I turn the...
I don't have one installed yet. I'm still in the planning stages. I'm thinking of using some of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-2009-Jeep-Liberty-Double-DIN-Radio-Install-Kit-/190427666692#ht_1169wt_907 and making them work some how. The radio hole on the front bezel will need to be...
Here is a double-din install: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43990
I've been wanting to do something like this myself but I am not that great at cutting.
I finally got around to doing this so I thought I would share the correct size of torx. It's a T50 for removing the seat belt from the seat. I have seen this question asked before and there was never a clear answer.
Up until now I thought the locking mechanism on my '05 was broken. I just tried turning the wheel so the jeep logo is upside down and for the first time ever, the steering wheel locked. Great tip. Thanks.
I need to remove my front seats so I can clean the carpet under the seats. There is a bolt with a torx head that attaches the seatbelt. I think this is either a T54 or else a T55. Does anybody know for sure what size it is?
Thanks.
It should work. When I first bought my 2005 I wanted to put a 2004 cluster in it because of the white faced gauges. I asked the parts counter if this will work and they said yes. Too bad a cluster was over $500 or else I would've done it.
How come on http://www.rocky-road.com/kjome.html it says there are HD rear springs? I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just pointing this site out because this is why I thought there were HD rear springs.
Ok last question. I've done lots of reading about lifting the kj and I am confused on one thing. I want to use OME springs and not lift above the 1.5" that you get with the springs. I want to go with bilstein shocks because they have free shipping. Do I go with front and rear shocks for a...
I'm in Saskatoon. That does sound like a fair bit of work. I may just go with regular length OME shocks with some OME springs. I just put on some brand new a/t tires and I do not want to lift too high or else my stock size tires will look very small in comparison. Who knows though. I...
