Must have options
Selec-Trac (2wd, 4part-time, 4full-time, 4Lo) provides full-time 4wd, so there's no shifting in & out of 4hi as conditions change & can be run under all conditions. I like the full-time 4wd on rainy streets. Tires won't slip when you step on the gas from a stop. ABS, sunroof & heated seats...- CHUD

Advice: Subaru vs Jeep
Tell your friend that IMO the Cherokee is built like a soap-box racer compared to the KJ. Just compare the doors on the two vehicles. The XJ doors are like pie tins. It flies cause its about 600 lbs lighter. I'd rather have the x-tra steel around me & my kids.- CHUD

Not likely. Two different systems. KJ is Rack & Pinion, all other Jeeps (except WK)are recirculating ball. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/steering3.htm- CHUD

Re: Is there a PDF version of the KJ Owners manual available The HS controls are near the base cushion of the seat on the left hand (drivers seat) side toward the front. Not only are they NOT hidden, it's easy to inadvertantly engage them.- CHUD
