    Wasn't the Nitro on the road for a year or two prior to the KJ to KK remodel? Does the Nitro share these same problems with it's kid sister? Also Chrys. is notorious for these type moves. They lowered the KJ an inch less than a year after initial production, then they upgraded the brakes...

    New Wiper Blades

    I have the same little wing (no ref. to the Jimi Hendrix tune) and it's still on my KJ after 6+ years. I just replace the rubber part of the wiper with a "wiper refill" sold at any auto parts store for approx. $6 a pair. I have found no need to replace the whole blade assembly. Just the rubber.

    You Know You're Driving A KJ When.......

    ....when you can make a curb-to-curb U-Turn on a Brooklyn street without having to put it in reverse. Fantastic turning radius. Can't even do that with a PT Cruiser.

    In NYC, it helps not to park on the street during a snow event. The plows will surely make you long for 4WD. Ive been in Brooklyn over 47 years. The plows will sock you in quick.

    Aged Tires-Dangerous and can Separate !

    I just copped some Destination A/Ts from Tire Rack & they have the date "2008" stamped on the side with the OWL (front side). It's not even in code format, just says 2008.

    Yeah, they'll fit 245/75/16 range is 6.5" - 7.5" - stock size range is 6" - 7.5"

    How Durable??

    Ken - Dont be too nervous about it. I've been running the ruts, bumps & potholes of Old Mill Basin & Canarsie with my 02 KJ for 6+ years & she is still rock-solid. No rattles or buzzes anywhere. I plan on keeping the tough little bee-yotch for another 10 years.

    ABS does not cause or exacerbate accidents. Drivers that do not know how to properly brake their ABS equipped vehicles are to blame.

    Thanks everyone. I consider myself lucky. Whoever this loser was did a terrible job of keying it. After the GS27 treatment, it looks pretty good. I know it could have been much worse.

    Chrome Exhaust Tip

    I believe you'll have to cut the stock pipe before it angles and have the tip welded on. My WJ Overland came with a chrome tip standard & you can see the pipe was modified. The stock WJ pipe is also angled down. Looks like DC cut the pipe in front of the angle & welded the tip on.

    Got out of work to find some seriously long scratches down the side of my KJ. Some school kid keyed it. Fortunately, I had some of this stuff in my basement. Holy Shakespeare, this stuff did a great job. It's not perfect, but the scratches are no longer visible, unless you look at it...
