There's someone in my area who has either a 02 or 03 Renegade exactly like mine, down to the color and the missing rock rails. Theirs still has the covers on the light bar lights though, and their dents are in different spots than my dents. I will always park next to a fellow liberty if I can.
OK, so I did the bypass yesterday b/c the pully was smoking the day before(I poured a little water on the belt on top of the pulley and it boiled right off). Went with a Duralast 827k6 belt.
I didn't take many photos because I was doing this in a parking lot and once I got to the pulley...
Did an AC delete/bypass today. Managed to get the pulley off, but whomever put that snap ring on the magnetic clutch needs a swift kick somewhere tender. Had to rotate it up out of the way anyway.
So does anyone know the proper belt for the delete?
I walked into NAPA and told them I needed 82.5 6 rib, and they gave me NBH 25060819, which is
Effective Length
81.96 in
Outside Circumference
82.65 in
From this site, I have NBH 25060827...
So wait, if I knew someone who was licensed/worked with residential/business AC, could they perform that task? I know my old landlord did AC and has that thing with all the tubes and gauges on it, as we would have him come out every 2-3 years to check our house AC unit outisde. But he's back...
So the other day I was in traffic and thought I heard my coolant bubbling. But as soon as I got to my destination, and turned the engine off, the sound stopped, so I knew it wasn't that. Popped the hood and traced the noise to the AC compressor.
Took it to my mechanic, and he felt around and...
I tried a 4 way lug wrench first, but it wasn't long enough. It was the only other thing I had available to me. I didn't even have to break out soap or lithium grease.
That was such a pain in the ass for me because I stupidly removed the whole socket and couldn't get my fat fingers in to to push it back in. I eventually pushed a skewer in the socket and pulled it through the top.
Did the bump stops after I realized my front drivers side one was missing. Since I'm not lifted, I went with Crown over the Teraflex. Popped right in with my Fiskers Folding Entrenching shovel and then I drove it through a few bad parking lots to make sure they were tight.
I was driving to the farm yesterday and while taking the backroad in I went over a rise and when I hit the other side a huge bang came out of my driver side. I checked both wheel wells and realized my bump stop was missing on my drivers side.
Since I'm not raised what is the proper bump stop...
