Daughters 06 does not start or run without using the throttle for a few minutes. It only does it on colder damp days on the initial start. It is fine through the rest of the day and runs fine down the road. is there a sensor somewhere I need to check and if so what is the procedure?
Thank you
tom , so far I have just been able to get a tire matched to the other 3 and check play on front hubs with the wheels bolted on. While underneath on a different fix I did not find anything that seemed out of line on the driveshafts. I have done a front before on our other liberty. What am I...
Finally able toget back to this after another little repair. All four tires the same but the noise is still there. The hubs do not seem to have play in them with the wheels still on and raised up. It sounds like it is coming from the drivers front but tough to tell going down the highway.
Got it in but had to go about it a little differently. Several times trying and could not get it pressed through the hole. Took the bolts off the bracket and dropped it to where I could get pliers on it . Snapped right in , bolted it up and it snapped on the shift lever. Works as it should ...
Got a couple of these in the mail today. An extra for back up on the other two we have ! Did you lower the whole cable to press it in and if so how does the orange clip that hold the cable on the bracket release ? I messed with it for a while but could not get it into the loop. Got cold and...
Still working on my auction buy 06' ... after the sale the sob says " did I tell you " No you did not .This is the first time we have talked !
Sorry .. anyway he forgot to disclose that the cable to the transfer case was not hooked up on the case end. The cable is not broken but the center...
Bought an 06 at an auction yesterday. Could not drive it and did not notice until today that it has a 235/17 on the left front and 225/17 on the other corners. It should have 235 on it anyway. Runs great and shifts as it should but it has a constant front end noise at all speeds and turning left...
Have had this on an 02' and 06 ' . broken wires both times. One was by the connector and other was almost near loom goes into the body .
Damotee is correct , abs is also tied to it. I have also seen the connector be the issue . Would with the wires first . usually the sensor is fine . Good...
Update : looks like we are good now . It has been a couple weeks since the new radiator went in . A little over 600 miles and so far no problem.
Thanks for the help
If your clutch coil is the problem it is a fairly simple fix . I did it on an 06' and it was pretty simple. Part was 25$ if you have the Halla compressor. Works as good as new.AS mentioned you should see it move when energized .
May not be the best way , but I unplugged it and ran a couple...
could I have a radiator problem ?
Found my answer ... ticked off I didn't slow down and think through this. After replacing the hose and the test drive for 8 miles and noticing the reservoir was a little lower , which I thought maybe after getting to temp it filled the block , I would have...
Back together and a little nervous . No obvious problems with either part. Tomorrow will tell. Is it correct that I need to try to fill it through the pipe plug by the top hose ?
No debris in front of radiator . Yesterday I could feel air being pulled through when the fans were running...
I have now bled the top hex plug and did not seem to get any air. After looking at the reservoir it is not where I had it but nothing in the oil or exhaust. I am guessing it lost a litttle more when the hose split last night. Sitting at idle with ac on the gauge stays right in the middle . any...
Tried the search and found a couple things to try ,but still not sure ..
Daughter was coming home from school and had driven 50 miles . The chime went off and the gauge was in red. Pulled over within 2 minutes to off ramp. No steam until she turned it off. Hauled it home and had some...
Yes . + and - jumpers from battery to correct pins on coil and no result . After checking the ohms on the current coil I started to question if it was bad . My thinking was that it would have to test 0 to be bad . The clutch turns freely by hand . I better get started .
Thank you
Guys , sorry to beat this to death , but trying to make sure I am the right track before diving in .In previous post went through several things and we got to the point that the compressor does not engage . Logan suggested jumping the coil with 12v and nothing happened . At this point I have a...
Agree with all of the above . Have built many small block engines over the years for race cars and daily drivers . Have tools and equipment for an engine change like this but would not try to rebuild my engine in your case . Can almost promise you the add on costs at the machine shop will be 30%...
not that it helps at this point .. but I just had the same repair on an 02 a month or so ago . Abs/brake light came on and speedometer started jumping around then quit all together . It did not affect driving at all . I drove it 40 miles a day for 4 days before I could get to it .
I did not...
