    Broken sway bar link bolt

My extended JBA sway bar links were from 2014 and were making my a ton of noise. I found sway bar links to replace them from Teraflex for lifted JK’s. They’re a little shorter but they will work fine. Still longer than stock. I was able to remove the old links and the sway bar itself, and...

Will your insurance cover you if you’re in an accident and the sway bar has been removed?

What did you do to your jeep today?

Wow what a difference! Are you sure that’s the same KJ?

Extremly high milage on an extremly rare 2009 jeep liberty

Keeping up with the services like oil changes and transmission fluid & filter changes, for sure. Never letting it overheat and thus be more likely to drop valve seats. Speaking as the owner of an 08 KK with 228,000 miles. Also, just fixing little things when they break, so that it continues to...

    Gas Gage not working

Could be a dead fuel pump, but before changing it you’ll want to check the wiring to see if it has power and ground. Our vehicles are so old that sometimes the wiring corrodes and needs to be patched up. That’s a much cheaper fix than a new fuel pump too.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Hi Sota, unfortunately I’m rarely up your way. The 2007 and the 2008 share a lot of the same electronics though, so maybe you could be lucky. You can download JScan from the Apple or Google app stores for free and run it on Demo Mode for the 08 KK and see what you think. To read a vehicle, you...

Extremly high milage on an extremly rare 2009 jeep liberty

That’s super cool. When the engine or transmission finally goes, just pop another one in and keep driving it.

Will KK front end struts and spring work on a KJ?

On the front struts, adding 1 cm of length = 2 cm of lift, because of the suspension geometry. You can use the thickness of your top plates or the additional length of the KK clevis to calculate what you’d get for total lift.

    Confused About Something?

Maybe the previous owner did a sweet junkyard swap with the seats. Do the rear seats also have leather? If it’s all original, everything would match.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I got a Bluetooth OBD2 reader and an app called JScan today. This app is pretty incredible, letting you diagnose issues with specific modules (not just engine codes), as well as read live data and change specific settings. It makes your phone or tablet into a bidirectional scanner / programmer...

    Weird 4x4 issue

This is a strange one. I wish I could help you out, but I haven't heard of this happening before. I bet it will be easier to fix your manually shifted NP231 than the electronically shifted TC on the later models. Welcome to the forum! What part of WV are you from? Dolly Sods Wilderness and the...

Can I Fit ANY 4.10 Gears by Just Adding ANY Steel Dana 30 Carrier into the Dana 30a “Super”?

Just for info in case people are reading this, the references to JK D30 4.56 gears in a Liberty are for the KK not the KJ. The 08-12 KK has a different style front diff, and I have never heard of anyone mounting a KK front diff in a KJ successfully. I wish you luck in finding a KJ front diff...

    *UPDATED*Weird Front Turn Signal Shenanigans

I ran into it with the left turn signal. The ground wire rusted through somewhere between the housing and the ground point behind the headlight. I ran a new ground wire and it works again. A multimeter goes a long way to identifying which wires have continuity and which do not. The wiring...

    OME VS Bilstein

Also +1 for Bilstein, although I also have not run OME before. Fun fact: I am about to replace the rear Bilsteins on my 4” lifted KK, and they were from 2010. Can’t ask for much more than that!

What did you do to your jeep today?

I have one of these to fix on my 08. The sensor’s heater circuit is high, and independently testing it with my multimeter confirms it’s toast. I have a replacement ready to go in but am a bit nervous about attempting the repair because last time I stripped an O2 sensor completely and it would...
