I was researching the mopar skid plate compatibility a few months ago. The length of the transmission skid plate is a couple of inches longer for the 05-12 Libertys' due to the change in transmissions and transmission cross member location. They will work, but may need extra nutzerts.
I'm planning on installing Detroit True Tracks front and rear next summer. Since the diffs are going to be out anyway, I was wondering if it would be worth it to install 4.10 gearing while I'm at it. Since flat roads are almost non-existent and I usually max out at 50mph 95% of the time, would...
Check around the high mount brake light for any signs of rust. The window regulators also are a weak link. They are made mostly out of plastic.

I don't know who owns Cooper, but I had them installed five months ago at Tire World. The Duck Commander version looks alot like the Cooper Discoverer SST.

Welcome to Libertys Anonymous. My name is Brian. The amount of info and experience with this forum is extremely useful. Hopefully you'll enjoy the Liberty at it's finest.

I'm looking into getting a Detroit TruTrack installed. This would be my first time digging into a diff and am wondering how difficult it would be installing one at home. I could get the bearings pressed on the lsd close to where I live and rent the tool to check the backlash. How difficult is...
I'm still waiting for the recall letter. I have got four recall letters about the occupant restraint control module filter circuit, but none about the fuel tank.

On my 2003 Renegade, once the headlight are on, I pull the left inch or so of the light control towards the drivers door. It won't let me turn on the fog lights by themselves. I haven't tried turning off the headlights with the fog lights on.

The two rubber hoses do go directly from the air intake resonator box into the back of the valve covers by the firewall. There is also a pcv valve going into the oil fill tube. I don't have SpongeBob visiting my airbox. (Must be too dry in Colorado.)

Once I get back home, I'll take some pictures. I'm camping and the only photo I have of my engine bay won't download. I sadly can't drive my kj right now. It's a stick and I have only one hand I can use currently.

I looked at the rubber tubing on my air intake. It goes from the intake resonator to the back of the valve covers on each side. Once I can use both hands again, I'm going exploring in the engine bay.

Welcome. I don't know about any Arizona trails, so it would be interesting to see what its all about down there. You should have fun with your new KJ, despite the heat.

I already miss working on mine and it's only been a week. Ended up getting a work related hand injury. I never really had fun work to do on a vehicle before. That's a color I'm not used to seeing on a KJ. It seems that there are only four colors in Colorado. ☹

Welcome. I don't think I've seen a red KJ in person yet. I've only had mine since March, so I don't have much experience with working on it outside of tinkering.

Welcome. Hopefully your KJ will be as trouble free as mine the last four months. Been asking more questions about small curious things rather than actual problems here. I've noticed this site usually has info about a problem before I even ask.

Thank you. It's probably a good thing that I can post about these small things and not anything major not due to my mistakes.
