Omg yes I followed your winter gear swap.
That had to have been brutal.
Maybe in my younger years…lol
By the way Rene_05 that is a darn good looking jeep.
I hope mine turns out half as nice!!!
20 years ago I used to build square body Chevy pickups.
Frame off builds with custom lifts I had 2 places I took my axles to have built and they both had custom vices to hold the axles.( oh both places didn’t make it through fuqing covid scam)
Mine is a 6 speed so my carriers won’t work with the...
Exactly on the IFS a lot of the places I talked to especially the ones with high quotes act like they were like the clam shell style. Even after I reassured them it was like a normal Dana 30.
The fact they didn’t know also steered me away from them.
One guy quoted me $2,100 and when I told him I...
That is so crazy I’ve spent so many hours searching and calling using every part number from Yukon to Dana even Dorman and everything in between.
I think that is a good price.
The last of the Yukons were going for around $700
Which is insane because they are all Dana gears.
Sure wish Tommudd was...
I’m in eastern Oregon and about to take the same adventure.
It’s actually astonishing to me how few people do gears anymore.
The quotes I have found have been all over the board. Anywhere from $2,000 an axle to $500 an axle.
And some of them are hours away from where I live.
I have an extra set...
Looks great that’s how they should have looked from the factory!!!
Were you able to use both washers on your Deeke’s?
I’ve seen where some use both or just one or none.
I would jump on that if I was you.
With that new front coils, bumpstops and hockey pucks you would have a great lift for around $500
Also EBay for the tow hooks
I have spoken with Yukon and they get there D30a 4:10 gears straight from Dana Spicer and even though it shows a back order the date is 2 years out.
I’ve tried soooooo many different ways to get a set of gears and it all comes back to Dana has discontinued them…
Yet another thing I...
Oh bummer man sorry to hear about that. Some people really suck!!!
From all the phone calls and research it looks as though no one produces 4:10 gears for the liberty’s front axle anymore…..
And finding a 4cylinder donor is almost impossible at least from all the looking I’ve done.
I’ve looked into it and talked to the guy.
Seems legit.
He got back to me pretty quickly.
He was very knowledgeable on spring rate and such.
His price isn’t to crazy.
I was going to go this direction then got a smoking deal on a brand new set of 780’s.
I still might go this direction down the road.
Howdy all
So after hours of searching
I can't find the answer to this question
I have purchased a set of 790's to go with my new ARB bumper and winch.
I'm trying to see if I still need top plate and conduit nuts to reach 3" lift.
This might just have to be an install see where it sits and go...
There was three
Now I imagine there is only 2
$99 shipped in the us
Total was $1,503
That is for the 05-07 models
Didn’t inquire about the 01-04 models
I was thinking about buying the rest and sitting on them
Might be a good investment
I’ve been wanting one for 10+ years
I procrastinated and thought I had lost out.
I actually started looking for used ones.
Talking with fab shops about building one
on a whim I thought I’d call them to see if there was any way they had one left.
This is the last aftermarket bumper available for...
So I just ordered my ARB bumper for my 2006 and they only had 3 left.
And they were on sale!!!
$1503.00 shipped
Don’t mess around with other stores just go to ARB USA and purchase your bumper and OME springs.
They all just drop ship from there anyway!!!
Cut out the middle man!!!
Looks like another attempt at finding the ever elusive 4" rear spring part number. LOL
If someone has a set I'd just like the specs off them so I could find something close.
