The Official "My Gas Mileage Sucks" Thread
I use an iPhone app that tracks my mileage at every fill-up. My best right now is around 22MPG on a weekend road trip, but I am averaging about 19 right now. The EVIC reads slightly optomistic, so I only use it as a trend indicator.- sevenhelmet

Feedback on touch screen H/U upgrade option form ebay
I have no idea how you found that considering I just spent 20 minutes on Fleabay and Google looking for the same thing. I use the stock head unit and got an iSimple aftermarket iPod adapter, which charges my iPod or phone, and I can play my own music or Pandora through the factory speakers by selecting CD changer on the mode switch. 75W90 in front diff
I run 80W90 in both differentials and it's been fine. I don't do a ton of aggressive wheeling, but my Jeep does see trails on the weekends. Personally, I'd leave it. The differential oil really should be changed every 12-15K anyway.- sevenhelmet

Ding! Glass open warning
I'd crawl underneath the Jeep just in front of the fuel tank and look at the evap canister itself. Chrysler put some cheap@$$ plastic clamps on the vacuum hoses there, and they tend to get brittle over time. If one is cracked, that's probably your leak. I replaced mine with metal hose clamps...- sevenhelmet

Locking Fuel Door
If you don't care about the lock, I've seen similar aftermarket fuel doors at Advance Auto and the like, and they're a lot cheaper. I bought a locking gas cap for mine, more to keep pranksters OUT of my gas tank than to keep the gas IN. If somebody wants to drill a hole in my tank, there isn't...- sevenhelmet

towing questions
I definitely wouldn't fill it up with heavy stuff, 3.7L 5-speed Libs can tow 3500# but a full 12' trailer can weigh a bit more than that. I towed a 12' trailer to help a friend move once that weighed 5000# when full (I didn't use the Liberty that day.) Since you haven't towed with the Liberty...- sevenhelmet

Are you 100% sure you didn't accidentally press the gas WITH the brake when you were stopping? Less wind resistance at higher temps is technically true, but wind resistance is far from the only factor. Vehicles do get better MPGs at higher temperatures... up to a point. Love the color! Unless it's priced insanely high, I'd say you got a keeper. The ARB/winch is a definite plus, and the Jeep sits like it's got OME coils or something similar underneath.
