    Jeep Dies on Interstate

Yikes! I'm seeing way too many of this kind of thread lately. Usually when that happens I suffer the same failure (water pump and front driveshaft are good examples.)

    AM/FM Antenna options

For the AM/FM break, try a junkyard- I bet they'll have a Libby hulk you could take the antenna from. Good luck mounting a CB antenna where you can't see it. I like the look of my CB antenna (mounted on the back gate near the spare tire carrier.)

Dang. That is a 'spensive repair. I will drink to the long-lasting health of your Jeep!

Stuc lug nut HELP! (And stripped and destroyed)

^Exactly. I made this mistake once, which is why I don't use impact guns at all any more.

    Change PCV valve

Wow that's a big change from the past! Yet another reason I'll stick with my older model Liberty.

    Adding a jerry can

Yes, not to mention it takes about 15 minutes to empty a 5 gallon Jerry can with the dribble spout. I found some good metal cans at Harbor Freight. I got home and discovered that they have no cap other than the spout! WTF? Other than that, the cans are great and exactly what I was looking...

What did you do to your jeep today?

How about burns? I crawled underneath mine once to fix a 4WD cable that popped off and burned the $h!t out of myself on the exhaust. I still have a dark patch of skin on my arm where the burn was.

    Non Invasive CB install

I drilled a small hole and routed my coax through the gate and gate hinge conduit alongside the factory wiring harness.

    Non Invasive CB install

Those look like the silver letters you can buy at Autozone or similar auto parts stores. They're about $1 each. I installed my 4' firestik CB antenna in a similar spot, except I drilled mine into the body and grounded it to the spare tire carrier. The spare hides the mount, which makes for a...

    Final days mods

Bullets for the rifle. A Marlin 336 may not be ideal for storming the beach, but it can sustain 1 zombie headshot per second all day long.

Noise: "Squeak Squeak" on cold start

Prices online seemed to range from $150-200, so I thought I was getting a good deal at $89+shipping. Either way, it's on the Jeep now and everything is working fine, so I'm not going to f#$% with it. Until next time, evap system.

I'll be sure and put those on my Christmas list. ;)

Noise: "Squeak Squeak" on cold start

Took me a while to get around to it, but: Solved! It was the LDP (Leak Detection Pump.) It is very easy to change, but awfuly expensive for such a non-essential (IMHO) part. I got a discount and still spent $100. The odd thing is the CEL went out on its own after a few days, although I...

    HAMs with KJs

Took it, passed it, licensed General HAM, but no radio yet. I'm still making do with CB, plans for a VHF/UHF rig sometime in the future (might wait for the next vehicle since we're having another kiddo soon.) KK6AEL

    Front driveshaft

Should hold up at least as long as the original. Just keep an eye on the rubber boot; when it tears that's usually the first sign of failure.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Every once in a while I let my wife drive the Jeep, usually because I've had too much to drink. It always feels weird to sit in the passenger seat. My Jeep has started sounding like an old school bus when I pull up to stop signs. Today I checked/cleaned my rear brakes and added brake quiet to...

    CB antenna mount

I mounted mine to the swing gate with a quick-disconnect so I can take it down for low overheads or parking in the garage.
